Need to open up in 25 mins for the next onslaught of Bond though, just enough time to have a well paced pint I suppose :)

You've got a great job there Goban.

I suppose I could quite easily crack open a beer right now, but it just doesn't feel right ...

Reading people's boasts about being in the pub is the next best thing to being in the pub yourself.

How's that ale tasting then Goban?

My time is pretty flexible, unfortunately I've only actually had 7 days holiday since I started this new venture.

G'wan you will feel bitter for it :)

I had some lovely bottled cask conditioned stuff on Saturday that was I suppose technically a ginger beer as it was a bitter brewed with ginger. It was really light and tasty.

I know the sort of stuff...loooooovely.

Nope, I will not be tempted to open a beer on a Monday afternoon. I drank too much on Saturday, so not going to touch a drop until Friday night at the earliest.

/ looks lovingly at bottle of St Peter's Honey Porter

    Must ... resist ...

Nowt wrong with having a nice beer in the middle of the day. In fact, I suspect it's the attitude that you should only drink at certain times (and as quickly as possible) which causes the whole binge drinking thing.

I'm a filthy dago though, so I can get away with it. :)

    Bloody bingers :)

Need to set up a steady flow pattern.

And considering I have no social life anymore I'm slightly jealous of anyone who has a social binge.

/recalls the good ol days of city life

Buggered if I can remember the end of Saturday night, I was hammered. That St Peter's stuff is the nuts though, you're virtually doing your country a service by drinking it.

There will be Pumpking tonight \o/

There wasn't much to remember - played pool, me and you danced around the table in an attempt to distract Rich (didn't work) and we all left at a reasonable hour.

Pumpking is goooooood. Thought you weren't drinking in the week, though?

That is a fucking great idea - I'd be there at the opening. Obviously, being a fellow EGer, I'd demand to be put on the VIP list.

Well that's strange... it doesn't really taste of much at all. That's not to say I can't taste it, obviously I can - but I was expecting it to be overpowering.

Quite nice so far. Will see how my tastebuds adjust to it.

Yeah, it's a very subtle flavour, which is just right I reckon.

    Tesco.

And if I don't have a Tesco nearby I can go to? :p I mean if M&S do it that'll be champion.

Hmm, I doubt M&S do it - they don't do other brands do they?

Have a look in Sainsbury's or Waitrose if there's one nearby.

Hmm... braid. Haven't played that in a while.

    /uncorks bottle of red

(Actually, it seems most of the wines I get from virgin these days are screw tops oddly enough)
