sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum guys, i havent been here in a while
i really need some help with my pc.
i built it a few days ago with some new parts i bought off the internet and a couple of parts from my old dell dimension 5150
i set it all up nicely ready to install vista, everything is connected as it should be, it powers on fine, but then a black screen comes up saying 'DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER'.
i have put the windows vista disk in that i am trying to install in, and the motherboard disk in, and neither do anything. i put the HDD in my brothers computer and it showed in his pc, but then i put it in the next day and it didnt show.
it also doesnt show in my BIOS, but when i run ASUS EZ flash it shows there.
before i put the disk into my new pc i formatted it with active@killdisk
