    Must give this more time. I'm surprised we don't have more people playing it. It really has got a lot better over time. Much more generous than SWTOR is looking to be too. I bet I can't unsubscribe from that and keep all my perks.

    I decided that having a Steamrunner with the Team Fortress ability was too good to miss out on! I'm rather enjoying it, got it set up with my standard armaments, 3 phaser DHCs and a QT up front, two phaser turrets and a QT back with all my usual toys and while it's not as zippy as most escorts I'm used to it does seem to stay alive quite nicely.

    It even managed to complete the Tholian red alert with only a couple of bangs and one of them was down to getting stuck to a Tarantula.

    I'll give it a good test tomorrow as everyone in the team gets the benefit of the shield boosting.

    The players have spoken and the STO team have decided to reverse some of the Dilithium changes of Season 7. Stay tuned for an announcement.
    The original changes were bonkers hopefully these'll be more reasonable.

    I haven't played since the new Enterprise was christened has it changed much?  The last episode I played was the dominion occupation of ds9

    Well we're trying for a fleet do from around 20:00 tomorrow (Thursday) so come along chaps :)

    Re the Dil changes, lets hope it's a change back to the better. :)


    Also kinda amusing that the Season 7 Poster girl could easily have come from my crew lol.

    Hmmm short skirt - check, boots - check, busty - check. Yup she'd fit right in. :o

    I actually peeked back in again for the first time in months. Didn't get very far the first time I was playing it, think I got to lvl3 or 4. Up to 7 after today and quite enjoyed it. Still finding my feet mind...

    Do they break the foundry with every smegging season update?

    I was just about to catch up with some spotlight missions and guess what it's all blank.

    every season all foundry missions are unpublished and then automatically republished,reviews are disabled when the missions are put back on,then they reenable the editor and then reviews.

    Hmmm doing Starbase 24, Gorn Minefield, Klingon Scout force etc makes a nice change from just endlessly Aiding the Defari. :)

    Really? They definitely do for me :) Maybe only works on certain browsers? I'm on Chrome, whatever the latest version is.

    I have it sitting on my HDD but just don't click on it, haven't do so since the Beta.

    Considering I have had my Mass Effect playthrough broken by Planetside 2, I must divert my mind towards some of these free to play offerings that are going around.

    I remember this being quite friendly to just dip into.

    How would it be for a latecomer and infrequent dipper to play? Would I be able to team up with the EG people ok?

    When you team up, you get the option of auto-matching the levels of anyone you're playing with, so you'll be okay to join even the highest level EGer :) I'm not sure if it'll let you play all the same missions, but the Starbase 24 is definitely possible, and quite enjoyable.

    The levelling curve is a lot better for latecomers too, with enough content to carry you all the way to the cap, plus more to actually do once you're there.

    Hmmm todays patch removed yet another way to earn dilithium and replaces it with fleet marks? Seriously? *facepalms*
    I don't think we're exactly low on the things and they're not exactly hard to get anyway either.
    Also they seem to have potentially spoiled Gorn minefield by changing it from being a big 20 player battle royale to just a 5 player one.

    Anyways I'm sure Thursday'll be fun again. :)

    isn't that just the dailies they've switched from dilithium to Marks? I assumed you still got the standard dilithium, but I'm almost certainly wrong as I haven't checked because I'm lazy.

    What is peoples personal experience with dilithium earning now? The intention they gave was to increase the amount people were making, but for doing the same stuff I'm making about a third of what I was.
