To a lot of Wii owners i.e older ladies they couldnt care less or dont know what are real sports. Therefore I would assume Nintendo puts it in there

Who said there were only going to be 5? I thought it was 10, or did I dream that?
Is it me, or should a wii sports game have something like 20 different 'sports', and not 5 ? -

I reckon they have enough material for a standalone Frisbee Sports!

Utter nonsense. Give us a proper Wave Race please Nintendo. And that Pilotwings you were meant to be doing while you're at it.

A Pilotwings-style game might well be in it, you know.

Although of course a proper full Pilotwings would be much more preferable.

Registered 10 years agoIt's worse than I feared, actually. I thought Nintendo were going to use individual sports games to maximise profits rather than release a Wii Sports 2, instead they're using Wii Sports 2 as an excuse to make easy profit rather than developing proper standalone games.4235

Registered 6 years agoI'll definitely be buying this game, and probably at least one extra motion-plus thingum if possible/available, but it will be a bit frustrating in the future if they have an all-in-one wii remote and motion-plus when I've already got 4 remotes. Ah well.

Registered 6 years agoNintendo need to fine tune those frisbee/dog physics, it's delayed until later in 2009.
It could affect the Conduit if they delay the release of the Motion+ attachment as well... -

4 wiimotes, 4 motion plus bits, 4 nunchucks(?), 4 sets of batteries, a balance board, mariokart steering wheel, zapper. For the all white modernistic image of the wii, it sure does fill up your lounge with platic shitting bits and wires!

It doesn't actually say there is a delay though. I can't imagine Nintendo letting third-parties have first-run at Wii Motion Plus. Surely EA dating Tiger Woods and Grand Slam means Wii Sports Resort has to come before them?

I thought it might be missing from the list because its a hardware bundle, but that crazy DS walking thing is in there, so who knows. Maybe it's because it's already announced? iirc that list was just for new items.

I pity the poor fuckers who have Rock Band as well - a living room full of wires, white peripherals, and cheap plastic fake instruments ain't pretty!

Whenever we play Wii we just bring our own controls. Everyone has one so why bother buying four of everything? Unless you're a family I suppose.

Registered 6 years agoOr you've got Samba de Amigo and don't want to strangle yourself with the cable connecting the Wiimote and Nunchuck.
(My list is four Wiimotes, two Nunchuks, and two wheels, and a classic controller...) -

Registered 8 years agoEA say that Tiger and Grand Slam will ship with Wii Motion Plus functionality regardless of whether Wii Motion Plus is actually released by the time those games are released.
sauce
So perhaps they have pushed it back. Maybe it's to avoid competing with DSi sales, what with the DSi being brought forward in NA from "fall 2009" to April. -
Confirmed for july! Japan gets it in june! No pricing as yet...
