That trailer makes it look like a rehash of Shawn of the Dead. Not impressed,  so far.

    Oh dear.

... hopefully the film will be a billion times better than the trailer.

I went into seeing Shaun of the Dead without hardly knowing anything about it. Turned out to be one of my favourite film of the year, whenever it was released.

Does look a bit pants in the trailer but a good cast there and there is something about the Pegg/Frost team that makes them really watchable, I recently watched Spaced for the first time and even then they had that chemistry.

It'll probably be like Hot Fuzz, a bit naff but an alright (if forgettable) watch.

I can't be the only person who actually liked the trailer can I?

I rather fancy a pint now though.

Even then? Spaced was their zenith.

I do feel as I've now seen everything the film has to offer after that trailer

Well I'm talking as someone who saw the series in the last month or two (Netflix), before then I'd only seen them in film.

I don't think it looks too bad. I am getting a sense it's going to be an invasion of the body snatchers type tale rather than zombies.

It's got to be better than Paul.

I still think Spaced is the best thing they have ever done though. All done hill from there. It kind of makes you wonder if what they are missing is Jessica Stevenson sharing writing duties.

I can't wait. Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead and Spaced are all brilliant imo.

"Epic Pub Crawl in the Village of the Damned" was probably too long a title.

Probably law of diminishing returns. There's only so much mining of your own personal life you can do for material, and when a lot of your life consisted of sitting in your shared flat, smoking pot, and watching star wars, you run dry fairly quick.

...which sounds a bit negative. I actually didn't mind the trailer. Is to Body Snatchers what Shaun was to Zombies.

Loved Shaun of the Dead, liked Hot Fuzz a lot, can't decide about Scott Pilgrim.

This looks a bit pants, just seems a pale imitation of SOTD, obviously you can't really tell from the trailer. But I could watch Martin Freeman all day.

Looking forward to Ant Man though.

Hot Fuzz and Paul were shite imo, don't hold out much hope for this.

    @Deckard1

Hot Fuzz was fuppin great though I wish the ending went batshit and more people died.

Paul is not an Edgar Wright film and is pretty average, though I imagine it would of sucked a lot more if it wasn't for Pegg & Frost.

    Gay.

I really enjoyed the trailer, it made me laugh, that's all I need from a comedy and I like the nods to Body Snatchers and the obligatory fence gag.

Obligatory "everything was shit since point-x in a history I'm extremely knowledgeable about" post.

I think it looks good, especially the fence joke from Hot Fuzz. Also is that Cameron Diaz?

The fence joke is funny because it's in all three films, not just hot Fuzz.

This Is the End looks to be the better apocolypse comedy this year.

They've swapped the release date around with Kick Ass 2 and moved it forward. A sign of confidence from the studio perhaps.

    I think it looks good.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

All this film makes me think of is the horrific unsolved double murder in Edinburgh from years ago.

Not watched the trailer yet but liked most of their other stuff so will probably check out the film at some point.

Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine and Mark Heap means this will most likely get a watch from me.

Looks like it'll be fun, the fence running gag made me laugh and it's cool seeing Brian again. Though the infected or whatever the glowing faces are do look a bit Doctor Who.
