    Carpenter Brut - EP II

Synthy 80's TV Show/Film vibe that's head bobbingly good (to me anyway).
    Very nice.

Just gone through Breach's DJ Kicks. Is ok, kind of drifted by. Very much the house sound of now, but not really in keeping with others in the series, and probably not as good as something like Deetron's Balance mix.

    Free compilation for download.

"...it is a well pitched collection of tracks, involving familiar names such as Âme collaborator Frank Wiedermann, the unique and eclectic Maurice Fulton, low down house boys Rub-n-tug, soulful house from Joe Claussell and scene pioneer Larry Heard in its lineup.

As expected from the contributors above, non-standard electronics and house is the order of the day—-not wanting to throw around tainted terms such as deep house or outsider house—-with a multitude of moods and tempos on show. Catering for all audiences, separate tracks are there for the purists, with a full DJ mix for casual enjoyment."
Really awesome, thank you :) Sounds amazing on my hifi setup.

The new Tim Hecker is great. Not sure it scales the heights of Ravedeath, but it's quite a different album. Stab Variation is amazing.

Been listening to Ben Frost for the time in ages this evening. By the Throat is definitely one of the most unsettling albums I've ever heard. The use of constant wolf snarls and barks sends shivers down my spine.

Loads of stuff out I want to check out but haven't got round to yet. The new Vatican Shadow, Special Request, The Stranger, Livity Sound (although I'm not too hot on Peverelist stuff I've heard in the past), DJ Rashad and Unicorn Hard-On (yes, you read that right).

The new Laurel Halo album is streaming on Pitchfork too, sounds great. Much prefer it to Quarantine (no vocals, for a start).

100% agreed - it's actually the first Tim Hecker album I've been able to get into. The last three tracks are triumphant.

Really enjoying Psychic by Darkside at the moment - it's not strictly electronic all the way through but the parts that are are up there with the best I've heard this year, namely 'Golden Arrow' and 'Freak, Go Home'.

Its very Pink Floyd, despite the insistence that it wasn't an influence.

I am in no way recommending this as it's complete and utter shit, but it completely stunned me.

Noel Edmonds made this. Noel Edmonds.

What is with the direction? Why the 3rd person shooter camera position? Is it Noel in that outfit?

If you like electronic music with a quirky jazzy vibe, Kibeja is worth checking out - https://soundcloud.com/kibeja

    https://soundcloud.com/fools-chaos/sets/fools-chaos-sampler

If you like electronic rock/progressive Rock/metal as well as straight electronica, they are worth listening to. They are also on Spotify and such. Every song seems to be a different style. Lost in Dreams, dancing in Starlight, Siren, and Windows of the Soul are great.

https://soundcloud.com/collecting-pool Another favorite, unique and different, not standard trance or dance.

Lots of good music on Soundcloud :)

Not been a vintage year for mix CDs, but I liked this one. Grew on me more once I started to listen to the CDs individually, rather than in an epic 3 hour sequence.

Minor experiment. I had planned to do this mix and get my other half to make the artwork. Do a really nice package. I ended up sitting on it for 11 months and then making the artwork from a photo of my christmas decorations I took at the weekend.

    Anyway, stream mix from here:

Worth checking out this going back to the route's looks like the godfather is gathering pace with his radio shows. Plus he has loads of mixes free on sound cloud. Ok its not new but i guarantee you will hear loads of tunes that have since been lost or forgotten. Mixcloud has all his old shows for streaming too.

@Mr-Brett Boards of Canada "Tomorrow's Harvest" is very nice. Grows on you on repeat play. Very smooth flow. Maybe too minimal for some though. I know i found it a bit too distant and suicide/deatthlike nihilistic in beginning (compared to more energetic other BoC records). But loving it now, very beautiful.

Anyone heard the rest of Spaces? What's it like? Been getting rave reviews anyway.

Asked for the Special Request and Huerco S. albums for Christmas, so that should be good. :)

And 2014 should get off to a killer start with a new Actress album. Very excited for that one indeed.
