They were probably just testing out some prices and mistakenly hoping for less high-pitched screeching feedback from their beta "testers".

Looking around, £11.99 does seem to be a fairly common PSN price point for 1200 point games, so I'm sure they wanted to look in to trying it.

I bet if they had increased the prices, but also adjusted the exchange rate from points to real money it wouldn't have bothered a lot of people. The fuss was more about people getting comparatively short changed in the transition than anything else.

You would think MS would have tried a bit harder to get the price relative to points value right though and not annoy people a bit more, especially after all their hassles recently.

Surely it was common sense and saying 'that's the point of a beta' doesn't really help that.

So, you can get your free Assassin's Creed II today if you're a goldie. And somehow have managed to avoid playing it already.

Other deals today look to be Capcom-related, although I haven't seen an official announcement yet. Lots of Capcom XBLA titles and GoD games on the discount list. And... ah... Just Dance 4 stuff.

Hey, does anyone know when the new DLC pack for Pac-Man CE DX is supposed to be out? They showed it at E3 and various sites talked about it but I'm not sure I've even seen an official announcement.

    Yeah load of Capcom stuff.

Highlights for me were the Capcom Arcade Collection for 1200 points (Ill have that) and SF3 Online also seems cheap at 300 points.

Anyone know if it's worth picking up the AC3 season pass for the single player DLC? Considering buying it at the discounted price but still unsure

    Another two bundle deals launched...

    Action Bundle - 1600 points

    Dishwasher
    Bloodforge
    Dunegon Fighter
    Islands of Wakfu
    Unbound Saga

    Ninjabee Bundle - 1600 points

    World of Keflings
    Cloning Clyde
    Band of Bugs
    Outpost Kaloki X
    Ancients of Ooga

first one looks pretty crappy, but the second one looks decent enough, if slightly overpriced given the age of much of the content.

    Two new games

    Mars:War Logs

Cyberpunk RPG that generally seems to have reviwed pretty poorly on PC. However, it's universally described as overambitious, with a budget a long way short of where it needed to be to realise its ambitions, so possibly one for the 'flawed gem' subcategory. Anyone played it?

    Zeno Clash 2

I picked up the first one in a sale a couple of years back, and haven't actually played it yet, so not for me!

Keep forgetting I can buy DLC for Rocksmith. Don't want any of those though.

Also, Testament of Sherlock Holmes really has held its price well.

As for GTA IV DLC in Deal of the Week, I'm sure both people who don't have it can now buy it for cheaper.

If you can read this, you don't need glasses.

Whenever GTA IV DLC is on offer, TLAD is always cheaper than TBOGT. Even now. Strange. Still, an asbsolute steal at that price. I bought both for 1600 points each on the day of their release and it was worth every MS penny.

Are they standalone or do you need GTA 4 for them?

For the DLC versions you'll need GTA 4. If you only want the add on packs you buy 'Episodes from Liberty City' for about £12 new.

    But there are soundtrack implications.

If you have the DLC version you'll get all the extra songs, on top of the existing library, making some of the stations (especially LRR) absolutely stuffed with content. If you get the disc based option you'll only get the new stuff, but you also get two new stations exclusive to the disc. One of them is a waste of time - ambient music - but the other is "Vice City FM". I think you can tell what that entails.

I've been playing through San Andreas in the run up to GTA V, but for £8.99 I may well get GTA IV, never played the dlc after all.

Ballad of Gay Tony was brilliant, although the first one was a bit disappointing imo.

EG decided not to report it this week but Minecraft was once again the No.1 selling retail game in the UK.

Things a monster and just wanted to know what the retail version comes with dlc wise?

I'm assuming you just download the latest update like people with the download version?

Does anyone have Monaco on here? We need a third player for the co op as the levels towards the end are getting difficult. Anyone interested?

I might give the demo a go (re:Monaco). Just got a load of MS points, well, money now and will take a gander.

I do fancy getting Injustice though...if I really like it I might save my points for the extra characters.

Be careful of the demo, it makes the game look pretty linear and dull.
