Look under "R," the games are listed as "radiangames Fluid," etc. They all still appear to be there.

Downloaded that super wagon adventure or whatever it's called tonight. Not the best indie game out there but something about it clicked with me and I bought it straight after the trial. Quite good fun with a sense of humour as well.

    @Alipan
I also unlocked it straight after the trial, something I deliberately do rarely nowadays (too much buyer's remorse in the past).. If you're anything like me, be prepared to find yourself playing it much more than makes sense on any rational level. It's bizarrely more-ish.

Re-downloaded the trial of Avatar Golf and cannot get it to work-keeps crashing when loading in the game - cannot even get to the title screen

I downloaded it when it came out and played the trial without problems-but i'm thinking the latest 360 firmware update has somehow stopped it working

Anyone else got this problem ? "Code 4" error message

Back in the day of colour clash & clunky 'qwerty' keyboards. I was a massive fan of a game called 'The Sentinel'. Dont suppose there are any games 'like' that on the indy channel !

Thats the one. Only with less colour. Good old Spectrum 48k. It ran like sandpaper down glass.

Bah, BBC Micro version was the definitive Sentinel.

Great game, never been anything like it before or since.

I never said the speccie version was any good, other than it 'ran"........
Just think this could be a great little game for a remake.

And while we're at it. Another great retro game ripe for a remake was that brilliant space combat / trading game that was also on the BBC micro. Now if i could just think what it was called........
Im sure that would go well.

According to the wiki article there has been a sequel in the late nighties and a few fan-remakes/spiritual sequels/something or others.

It seems like a very simple game, I don't think it'd be hard to make a new one. Still too hard for me though since I can barely code a for loop :)
Give me a few grand and I can get it made though ;)

That's the shittest idea I've ever heard. I mean what the fuck are you thinking? I don't know what ridiculous parallel world you dropped in from but that's not the kind of game anyone wants anymore.

Mostly harmless indeed. I think I'm going to be sick.

Anybody tried Fun Infused's 2D Voxel Madness? Looks a bit like Terraria, which can only be a good thing, and it's from the people behind Hypership.

    Dev's site
    Marketplace link

If anyone takes the plunge I'd be interested to hear your thoughts, as I don't have anything like as much time to spend on XBLIG demos as I used to!

Been playing a few Indie demos this morning, the following seemed pretty good.

    Bleed.

A pricey XBLIG title at 400msp, but if you've got the required MSP left over once you've filled your boots with the XBLA sale then you could do a lot worse. It's a platform shoot-em-up, the vid should be enough to figure out if you'd like it. I really enjoyed it, and am hanging on to the demo until after the XBLA sale, as I'll definitely buy it if I've got a spare 400msp knocking around.

    Heavy Recoil

Again, the vid says it all. Reminds me of Metal Slug et al., without being quite as brutally tough.

    Aeternum

    Cave-style bullet hell shmup.

Still haven't given 2D Voxel Madness a proper go, but intend to later today.

Odyssey 3011 is well worth a look.

In a nutshell, it's Elite on the 360, nicely transitioned to the pad I recommend doing the tutorial for the trial. It was enough for me to bite and stump up the 240 pts. Elite..... so many memories...

I thought that looked interesting, but I wasn't sure if I needed it given that I've got Darkstar One on the 360 and Oolite on the Mac. I'll check it out over the weekend though, it's going to be -12 degrees here in Prague over the weekend, which sounds like a perfect excuse to barricade myself at home with a big load of nostalgia.

Somehow, I wasn't aware of Darkstar One, just read the eg review and it sounds interesting. Thanks for mentioning it!
I'd fiddled about with Oolite but my pc is so old it struggles to even do that justice...

Odyssey 3011 is just fantastic. The trial doesnt give you long enough to get a feel for it. It'll be the best 240 points you'll spend on your xbox. Ive got 5 of my friends now playing & loving it

Arcadecraft is a really nice new game. It's an arcade management game that's super polished and pretty in-depth, well worth a look.

    @Mr-Brett
I was just popping in here to post about that, having just somehow lost two hours to it. Anybody who has ever been hooked on a Kairosoft title should definitely give it a go, as it's kinda reminiscent of stuff like Game Dev Story (or going further back, Software House on the Speccy).

I just mentioned this game on the metal thread, so I'll just quote my post from there:

    lucky_jim wrote:
Anyone here like twin-stick shooters? Take a look at Death Goat on Xbox Live Indies. The relatively high (for XBLIG) price of 240msp is justified, not only by the game itself being a damn good twin-stick shooter, but the licensed soundtrack which includes: (/cut-n-paste) Between The Buried And Me, God Forbid, Holy Grail, Vanisher, Konkeror, Immortal Guardian, Lorelei and Ovid's Withering.
