    Hello!

The Frontlines: Fuel of War single player demo is up on Xbox LIVE Marketplace - it features the second mission of the single player campaign.

THQ-Games.com also has a new exclusive video interview with developer Kaos Studios' general manager Frank DeLise, which you can find by sauntering over here http://www.thq-games.com/uk/thqtv/index/1207

    Thanks for listening!

Hmm this wasn't really on my radar, but after reading the previews I'm actually quite interested. An open world FPS with drones and massive multiplayer battles could be good.

Not sure if it'll be better than COD4 but EG gave it a very positive preview

Confirmed - looks the bee's knees, not hi-hi-tech but fucking solid, rock framerate, nice controls, better than BF2 single player and depressing but very well done intro. Not cheesey. Brilliant sound.

Maybe a day one purchase. Can see this being the next BF2, easy.

    PC Demo anytime soon MisterTHQ?
  • Deleted user 12 December 2007 14:04:41
Hold on, is this PC/360 exclusive?

Whatever, it's really damn solid. I've naughtily played a little too much.

    it's on ps3 too.
Mr THQ will there be online co-op as well as normal BF2 style multiplayer.
Looked good, however the controls for aiming were very sluggish (and too sensitive if you turned them up) and some of the button mapping is bizarre!
However it does look nice and think it will be decent.

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

Its quite good i think most of the datas from the bloody long intro.
the Helicopter remote ship was fun to mess about with but the controls in genral seem sluggish.

32 player online intrests me the most.

    It feels just like Battlefield.

Actually its like they took a list of everything that made BF a blast to play and then just went down that list ticking boxes.

Out of nowhere then, another to add to my list of 'possible buys'.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is out around the same time though. So too is the actual new Battlefield game.

Ah, console versions not beta tested, standard policy. Will there be an expansion released every year with a couple of extra armie.. I mean "guns" in it, for 25 a pop?

Heh, well I've yet to see a true multiplayer 'Beta' for any 360 game. Plenty of time limited multiplayer demos mind...

The PC version has been in closed Beta for almost 2 months to tweak and balance - as of the 19th this is being opened up to test the server load etc. (Frontlines uses dedicated servers across the US and Europe for both console and PC version, hence the 32/64 player limits).

Naturally we'd love to release a multiplayer demo for both PC and console. Nothing confirmed though AFAIK

    Whatwhatwhat?!

    So can you:

    1) Get into vehicles and tool about?

    2) Fly stuff?

If so, then this may end up on my possibles list too.

Not sure I like the "humour" in BF Bad Company, or the fact that this is all we've got to look forward to for a new BF IP...so this could end up being the replacement if it doesn't suck.

(what I'd really like: COD4 with vehicles and a cover-dynamic)

Dedicated console servers sounds good, I'm more biased towards going PC for it but at least that's something that's better.

    1. Theres a tank and little drone weapons, C4 strapped to the back of a remote controlled car, a toy helicopter with rockets etc

    2. Not sure but I think theres going to be at least choppers.

Bad Companies single player mode may well be shite but who cares when the multiplayer will be classic Battlefield with destructable everything?

So Microsoft finally allows the use of dedicated servers for 360 games? When did that happen?

Sounds OK but for anything to recapture the best moments of Battlefield for me, you'd have to have Chinooks that could carry tanks, troop choppers you could halo jump from, and jeeps that you could bomb around in.

As well as choppers you could rain death down from.

Hmm, reminds me, I'd better get some BF2 action in tonight.

60 Vehicles in the full game according to the preview, not sure how many will be in the MP but even half of those would be amazing.

    It's EU+USA vs Russia+China fighting over oil.

Considering there's a reasonable chance that's going to happen in reality it's not that much of a stretch.
