Space Invaders plus two for XBLA
Tomorrow's trio also features zombies.
Microsoft has said to expect three new Xbox Live Arcade games tomorrow - Space Invaders Extreme and Arkanoid Live! from Square-owned Taito, and Zombie Wranglers from Activision. All three will cost 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).
Already seen on PSP and DS, Space Invaders Extreme is a disco-dancing update to the classic eighties shoot-'em-up, featuring a new, in-depth scoring mechanic based on shooting certain enemy colour combinations. We thought it was great on handhelds.
We didn't think that about Arkanoid Live!, but everyone gets a second chance. It's a Breakout update, with 62 rounds, online play, and a difficult-to-read logo.
Finally there's Zombie Wranglers, a former Vivendi game developed by Frozen Codebase. We've already had one excellent zombie game this week - are we about to get another? Probably not, but we're only saying that because third-person action games are out of fashion in the office after, you know, Wolverine.

I disagree about the part when not buying them new I wouldn't buy them anyway. I just didn't have the money to buy them last November cause I already bought 6 games then. Not being able to buy them at some point doesn't make them crap 2 weeks after. I'm actually really enjoying games like Dead Space and Farcry 2 now, and it also serves a double purpose in the fact that I can skip games like Riddick now and buy them for 20 bucks in 2 months time.
Saves me buckets of money.

I understand you of course. Im just not like that. If i want something i buy it when its new. Money is not an issue for me. Time is. I rather spend my time on the newest games. I actually have games i havent played and probably never will because newer games is more tempting. Too many games - too little time.

You are truly misinformed regarding Space Invaders. Its a new game based on the old one. Not the same old game with new graphics. Its like saying Pac Man CE is Pac Man with a bit of shine on. You couldnt be more mistaken.
