New Super Mario Bros. Wii dated

US and UK in November.

Nintendo has announced that the rumoured 15th November release date for New Super Mario Bros. Wii in the US is accurate.

Update: Nintendo Europe has subsequently said we can expect the game on 20th November. Ya-hoo!

The news came as the platform holder also confirmed that it would be cutting the US and Japanese price of the Wii itself. The US model will be $199 from Sunday.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii was announced at E3 this year and turned out to be our game of the show, taking the traditional side-scrolling 2D platformer and giving it a wicked multiplayer edge.

Check out our New Super Mario Bros. Wii hands-on to find out why it's looking so promising.

We only have to wait 5 days more? Wow, that's pretty damn good actually. I was expecting at least 6 weeks, and more like 6 months

It seems to be quite expensive for a wii game, i've gotten used to them being £29.99 as a preorder price.

(It is still £29.99 at gameplay if you're quick)

Does anyone know if it supports GC controllers?

I still don't know if I will get this or not as there are so many better games on wii and 360 this fall that I feel this is going to be over looked alot

This is on my Xmas list, unfortunately behind:
    - Batman: Arkham Asylum
    - Modern Warfare 2
    - Uncharted 2
    - Metroid Prime: Trilogy

Can't see it being under my tree this Xmas..... will have to get it when it drops to £15 in March

@Mappman : Are you the same Mappman that posted on this site:

    "I loved playing Halo 3"

There's a surprise! Just what the world needs another space marine game!

But then you also posted in the odst thread:

"I think one of the main things is because you're not playing as Master Cheif. I know that sounds a bit lame, but to me its a bit like taking Mario out of a Mario game."

    Irony?

Back to the game.. i've been waiting on a decent 2d mario on a home console for AGES..

So this WAS on my "must buy" list.. but after playing it at pax (where i was only allowed to play multiplayer).. i'm a bit worried about how the single player works.. The levels seemed to be a bit short/easy to allow for the multiplayer mechanic..

So my interest in this has lowered somewhat recently.. Still holding high hopes...
