New date for Don King Boxing Wii News

Wii News by Tom Bramwell

6 April, 2009

2K Sports has confirmed that Don King Boxing for Wii will be released on 24th April following its recent mishap.

The game had been due out on 27th March, but a last minute technical problem, as 2K put it, saw the game put back for a month.

Like last year's Don King presents: Prizefighter for Xbox 360, it puts you in control of a rookie boxer working his way up the rankings, except this time there are gesture controls too.

Look out for our review nearer 24th April.

Now all they have to do is solve the problem of no-one giving a toss about their product, and they'll be on to a winner.

"Last minute technical problem" - they saw that reviewers hated the control system of Ready 2 Rumble - and realised theirs was the same and decided to copy punch out instead

redeye- I thought the first prizefighter was actually a lot of fun, if you can get over the fact it doesn't copy the fight night stick control system.
