Houser brothers on TIME 100 list

Move over, Barack.

TIME magazine has named Grand Theft Auto royalty Sam and Dan Houser in its annual list of the most influential people in the world.

Comparing them to Tom Wolfe, Balzac and Dickens, Simpsons executive producer pens the duo's summary, pointing out that their games offer "a smart take on American cultural history".

You can read the full entry - complete with an image of the pair neatly styled to match the series' own artwork - on TIME's website.

So who was the most influential? The readers voted for the bloke who made 4chan. TIME doesn't do a numerical countdown, preferring to group people together by occupation.

The Housers are doing the work of Tom Wolfe, creating tapestries of modern times as detailed as those of Balzac or Dickens.

I'm sorry, but wtf? I wonder if the writer actually believes that.

The guy from 4chan? Imagine all the Time readers going to investigate expecting great cultural revelations. And instead finding pictures of emo chicks clad only in big stripey socks cramming magic markers up their back passages. And deciding to stay.

I've no problem with the Housers being in the entertainment category, they've certainly provided a lot more of it than a lot of possible candidates.

I did laugh at our Dear Leader being there though, now that's comedy.
