GTA IV trailer on Xbox Thursday

6pm BST, with pics and theme.

The second Grand Theft Auto IV trailer will be available in high definition through Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow at 6pm BST (5pm GMT), Microsoft and Rockstar said this afternoon.

You'll also be able to download an exclusive GTA IV theme and gamerpics, if you're into that sort of thing. Quite why you'd replace the Battlestar Galactica one is beyond us, but then maybe you don't like Tricia Helfer? Is that it? You disgust me.

Anyway, those of you without Xbox 360s will be able to catch it (the trailer - not Tricia Helfer) on the game's official website at the same time.

It's called "Looking for that Special Someone" (we recommend Google Image Search). The first trailer, "Things will be different", can be found on Eurogamer TV.

The news follows the publication yesterday of photographs of the GTA IV Special Edition, showing off the safety deposit box, keychain, soundtrack CD and duffel bag you'll receive if you throw down the USD 89.99 Rockstar's charging. The lawyers clearly don't come cheap.

The game itself, as you doubtless already have tattooed to your arm (hi Pete), is due out on 16th October in the US and 19th October in Europe.

So then. Until 6pm tomorrow.

    Just hope there's some gameplay in there this time. Otherwise it's just a waste of time. After being bored to death with San Andreas I'm curious to see where Rockstar will take the gameplay. I'm not really interested in the GTA universe itself.

    Now that you mention it, I DO want Tricia Helfer. But having a 360 won't help that? Oh, well I just come here while waiting for the pictures to load anyway.

    They did put the last one up on PSN, so I wouldn't be suprised to see it come on Friday with the update. But I'm sure that a lot of people would've seen it by then. Somehow I don't see the schedule being changed for this though, tbh.

    When the first video came out, Rockstar's website went down quicker than....a thing that goes down quickly. Can XBL get as overloaded? I've never downloaded a popular demo on the day of launch, but I believe it can slow down some.

    My 360 went and died on me last night :/

    No red rings, just graphical glitches and a sound like a Spectrum 48 loading up.

    Damn lucky though - I bought my 360 December 27th, meaning I was just within the 6 month period where Game have to replace it no questions asked. Even got date- and time-stamped photos of the error.

    When I get a new one on Saturday, I'll be checking this out.

    /Jealous of those with functioning units who will see it first.

    /Also annoyed that my clan night got ruined.

    My bad, The_Inquisitor. I did read the article actually. I saw the 6pm BST bit, but somehow missed the 5pm GMT bit, even though it came straight afterwards. D'oh!

    My 360 froze for the first time EVER a week ago while playing Crackdown. On Saturday it got a "This disc is unreadable" error on Lost Planet, but was then fine. Then last night, after being on for no more than 5 minutes, it basically went kaput.

    I'd be careful if I were you and definitely dig out your receipt!

    How much is that special edition gonna cost in real money then?

    I bet we have to pay £60 or something stupid, good job I have no use for a GTA safe box and duffel back I guess...

    Skuzzbag, isn't it the same with all massively hyped games though? You only have to go through any Halo story to find that 50% of the comments will be from folk who can't stand Halo.
    It's just to be expected, and anyway, why should all comments on a particular story have to be positive? It's just people expressing their opinion.
    Anyway I hated San Andreas, but I think that was mainly due to the whole Gangsta/Nigga/Homie vibe throughout, that shite bores me rigid.
    But this one, for some reason,actually looks quite appealing to me, some of the new screenies on IGN make it look like it has an entirely different (darker) vibe to previous GTAs.

    Available on PSN as well. Is there a special reason why this was presented as if it was an XBL exclusive? I know, the article doesn't say exclusive, but it only mentions XBL, so there you are.
