Wakey, wakey, time to bake a cakey. That's obviously going to be the marketing line. It makes no sense, obviously

    obviously

Ahhh so are EG eagerly anticipating X10 news and posting it straight away? I hope so.

Get the Halo Reach gameplay video asap. Ignore all embargoes and even the potential hindrance it might not exist. I demand it.

I'll love EG forever if they let me know Perfect Dark is available to download RIGHT NOW.

I'm so glad this game is finally coming out. Back in 2005 when I was (still) reading magazines and getting excited about the Xbox 360, I wanted the console for: Alan Wake, Frame City Killer, Gears of War and of course Halo. Frame City Killer was cancelled, Gears of War was released in 2006 and we've seen 3 Halo's since 360s launch. I really cannot WAIT for this game.

I reckon this will be either the game of the year or one of the biggest disappointments ever.

I dunno, I thought the trailers from years ago looked more interesting. I'd be very surprised if this is any good at all at this stage.

    Finally...

Of course I'll believe it when I see it on the shelf.

And so this will finally be on the shelves in mid May, just 256 short weeks after it was originally announced at E3 2005.

The games industry seriously needs to look at itself and stop announcing things it knows won't be ready for a long time, between this and GT5 this generation has been something of a joke as far as games announcements are concerned.
  • RedSparrows #11 2 years ago

Alan Wake and GT5-like delays are hardly that common.

"Wakey, wakey, time to bake a cakey..."

    Wakey wakey, hands off snakey?

    Awesome news.
Now I'll buy a cool looking jacket, typewriter, wife, infinitely powered torch, car (free hobo style bonnet) AND the Black Smoke Monster and I'll Alan Wake in no time!

Stop making fucking trailers and release the game.

Is no one else sick of trailers for movies and games these days? They ruin EVERYTHING.
  • vegard #15 2 years ago

i wonder if this game will have the same impact on other games as max payne did before it. excited to find out:)
  • TheTingler #16 2 years ago

@ChocNut: I agree completely. Mass Effect 2 is a particularly bad recent example of this. The whole story was basically released online!

I'm still looking forward to Alan Wake... if it comes out on PC.
I'm even more curious though about whether Remedy regrets doing this over Max Payne 3, after seeing what a botch-job Rockstar are making of it.

Same date as Lost Planet 2 and Mafia 2.

Anthony Daniels - i think you're still living in the 90's mate....
  • kongzi #20 2 years ago

Meh.. I was pretty hyped for this a long time ago.. but 21st May I'm still heavily into Red Dead, annoyed that Mafia 2 has to share my attention, irritated by requests to play splinter cell's co-op or multiplayer, somewhat hungry and vaguely aware that I haven't even bought bioshock 2 yet. Plus there's the 50hr+ workweek to consider, deadlines, social life, spring, summer, parties, festivals, vacation.

This game goes better with autumn anyway
