Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 headed to PC for "holiday 2014"

iOS version now available.

The PC version of Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 will be released in "holiday 2014", publisher Atari has announced.

Described as a "multiplayer" version of the game that will offer co-operative gameplay, the PC build will also include "even more social features".

Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile is now available for iPhone and iPad, meanwhile. It costs £1.99 to download and comes pre-loaded with a starting dollop of in-game currency.

You can buy further coins and in-game tickets in a number of amounts. 10,000 coins costs 69p, 130,000 costs £6.99 or 2m coins costs £69.99.

Alternatively, 69p will buy you five tickets. 150 tickets costs £13.99, or 450 tickets costs £34.99.

Atari has previously said that Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 on PC will be "completely different" to the microtransaction-friendly mobile version.

Rollercoaster Tycoon creator Chris Sawyer has said he has "no involvement" with the creation of either game.
