UK Top 40: LA Noire steals second week

DiRT 3 roars into second place.

L.A. Noire has lapped new entry DiRT 3 to remain top of the UK charts.

DiRT 3 was last week's sole new challenger to the chart. It drove home a respectable second place.

63 per cent of DiRT 3's sales were for Xbox 360, while 37 per cent purchased it on PlayStation 3. PS3 users are still unable to play the game online.

Lego Pirates stayed on course, slipping just one place to third. Dance yourself healthy fad Zumba Fitness remained in fourth.

Chunky shooter Brink dropped 52 per cent of its sales but managed to hold on to a top five placing after three weeks in the chart.

Aggressive Nintendo advertising and new budget bundles boosted evergreen games Wii Sports Resort into sixth and Mario Kart Wii into tenth - the latter spends its 145th week in the top 40.

Filling out the rest of the top 10 were chart stalwarts FIFA 11 in 7th, COD: BLOPS in 8th and Crysis 2 in 9th.
