  We had an Acorn Electron, I (or my brother) had to listen to the tape carefully, if it started to go quiet/funny, the trick was to press the rewind button for a fraction of a second so the load could continue. Reply 0

  No idea yet, two of the GBA Castlevania's should be winging their way here as we speak, and the DS version isn't out in Europe till the end of September (but it does look good :-) Reply 0

  Nope.
  
  1) Bit too pricey
  2) I have a PS2, and the games are either ports of, or similar to, PS2 games
  3) It doesn't come in pink
  4) It doesn't have Castlevania
  5) I have a DS! (guess what colour)

  Brings back memories of trying to load games on the Acorn Electron. Don't know if its similar to C64/Spectrum but you had to hook up a tape player to the thing. Then play the tape which sounded like a demented donkey.

  Which was bad enough, but our tape player was duff, so someone had to sit by it and as soon as we heard it going "wrong" (quite often), you had to press rewind for a split second (carefully, so the game load didn't fail) until it sounded right again. Reply 0
