Sad. If they absolutely HAVE to make this F2P and block all the characters, why not take a leaf from LoL's book and have two or three characters rotate out every week or so. That way players can try before they buy at least.

Gilbert's opinion is the only one that should matter. It's probably far too small-fry for Disney to bother with though.
EDIT: Scratch that. Looking at the site these people clearly have no idea what they're talking about. This wont get far at all and it shouldn't. Reply+18
Well Indigogo's pulled out due to the 'high risk' (probably protecting themselves legally, or were informed that it couldn't be used for life or death situations etc). Looking at a few posts she made on The Indie Stone afterwards, I'm inclined to believe her story.
"As di prdicted they nightmaree
I'm not going to make it through the night.
I'm sorry"
"Indiegogo deemed my page too high risk to resume funding, so they're refunding everything.
I was in a dark place, I was so close, I had a knife pushed to my stomach, but a very good person managed to talk me down. The feeling was intense. I can't even describe it, it was like I was drunk, like chemicals where whirring around in my head, it was surreal.
Things are not going to be the same. I need to do some serious thinking and think of what to do next. Everything will be alright.
I'm sorry."
The first post sounds like she either got very drunk or took an overdose of some kind. If this goes in the direction I can see it going then... Wow. Reply+6
@DreadedWalrus I actually doubt he'd have done that poll if he wasn't actually in the game. Either it's a stand in voice (he's busy right now and might be doing his part later on in development) or he's voicing a different character, such as SOLID MUHFUHKING SNAKE. Reply+8
David Hayter constantly talks about his love of all things Metal Gear and he's committed to future Snake games, including Ground Zeroes. I assume it's just a scheduling conflict, since he's been working on his directorial debut lately. Reply+8
As one of the lower classes that only just started on P4 with the EU Vita release, I'm excited to play the story of this, despite being abysmal at all fighting games. So I'll probably pick this up. Reply+3
@jimr9999us What? Why? Timegate are very much the victims here... Gearbox should be punished SEVERELY and Sega should investigate why they allowed any of this to happen. Reply+52
I wasn't overly hyped by the trailers so far, but that statement's certainly got my interest piqued. And I don't personally think there's been a bad Metal Gear Solid game yet (although PO and PW were nothing all that special), so I'm definitely going to be along for the ride. Reply0
TimeGate's getting a really raw deal out of this. They're not bad developers by any stretch, it sounds like the entire development was a mess handled by too many disinterested or incompatible development studios. I suppose blame has to rest on Gearbox for not handling it better, regardless of where the final work actually came from. Reply+21
Really nice idea. The setting sounds like great fun and the art is gorgeous. And the gameplay sounds like a mad mix of proven ideas, I'm intrigued. Reply0
An incredibly talented up-and-comer is taking the reigns on what would be a disaster in most people's hands. That can only be a good thing really. It'll be a great chance for him to prove himself (more than he already has) and make his mark in history.
I must assume that it's actually going ahead now though. Otherwise they wouldn't be so eager to announce the position everywhere. Reply+14
Well this is just idiotic. What happened to using a Vita for touch screen functionality? The DS controller has barely changed in 15 years for a good reason, it's damn good and doesn't need fixing.
Yeah, fuck Steam, an intuitive, cheap, simple and well designed client. What we need more of is subscription fees for things that should be free and ads on top of that! That's the only real benchmark for success. Reply+327
Similar features were speculated for the PS3. It's not going to happen any time soon.
It's sad that the industry's in a position where this is becoming necessary though. Too many greedy retailers wanting too big a slice of the industry while putting in none of the work. They're becoming more and more irrelevant so they're pushing more and more for their awful business practices. Reply+13
