What a bunch of reverse psychology bullshit.
"If a million people get the game it would be a disaster!"

Because it's free and because it Molyfuckingdeux it's going to get shit loads of downloads. His precious layers are going to be covered in drawings of dicks before they are stripped away within 5 days (see Diablo III "Inferno will take months to beat" claims). Reply+21
@Old_Books Agreed. I had no desire to replay Batman 2 after completing the story. The city was "too" open and was annoying to navigate.
Hopefully LoTR will be more like Harry Potter. Reply0
@jonfon All of the city karma vendors sell cooking ingredients - this is not a bug. You are not meant to get stuff like blood and leather from them. Reply0
@Kami Both of those issues are not because we cannot program AI characters to deal with those situatons. Both of those situations are specifically designed to do what you are flagging as "problems" because the people who made the game think that the behaviour is more fun.
The chances are that in case 1 at one point they did have a more robust searching behaviour and it made it frustrating as you could never get away.
The chances are that in case 2 at one point they had many more characters attacking you at once. Playtesting revealed that the optimum number of characters to be fighting at once is 2.
I've done a lot of work with game AI, and you would be suprised at what we can make those collections of pixels do. A lot of those things though are not fun in the grand scheme of the game. Reply+3
Finished normal in 12 and a half hours. Sounds good to me.
That isn't "finished" Diablo though.
Why is this news? I'm sure there are other people who have also completed normal in the same time or better.
@Gun-Nut No. For the first 30 days after launch you have to use a guest pass key to try the starter edition.
After 30 days it will be available without a pass. Reply0
@cukydoh They are giving away the first game for free.
The controls on the first one were patched to give you the option of a much more intuative "flick and tap" system for jumping and moving. Works really well. Reply0
@RexRunti "The menus have to have the right items and when they unplug the controller it's gotta do this, and blah blah blah. The leaderboards, the Achievements, the Avatar items were a real pain in the ass."
Yeah these are standard things that all console games have to adhere to, there are TRC requirements you have to meet to get certified on PS3 and Wii as well.
Making your game not freeze or crash if you unplug the controller is not a pain in the ass, it is making a stable game. Reply+6
