I've never played the original trilogy - until today. Can't believe i've let these games slip past me. And the HD job's a good 'un too.

I'm sure this question's been asked in various forms before, so sorry for asking it again. But if I buy DLC for my free PS+ version of VF5, would I still lose access to it if my subscription lapsed?

No, anything you pay for you keep. It is only free stuff you will lose.

Yeah I get that re the DLC, what I'm asking is whether I'd lose access because the game itself was free, i.e. would I have to buy the game itself if my PS+ subscription ended?

Is Ratchet and Clank region limited? Not showing up in my store or when searched for. ( EU account being used in Bangkok.)

Yes you will own the DLC but you won't be able to use it again until you buy the game or re-subscribe to Plus.

That's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks. I'll be a bit more cautious with the DLC then!

Same here. The HD port of the first game, the only one I've played so far, has been pretty damn impressive and the game is ridiculously addictive and funny. Love it.

Cannot understand how I missed out on them originally. I've feeling I'd switched to playing most of my games on my Xbox and so my PS2 got kind of neglected hence why I missed out on games like R&C, Shadows of the Colossus and MGS 3, all now available on the PS3 and looking better than ever thanks to HD Classics. :)

Hmm it seems that the RE collection is £21.99 for the bundle, not £16.99. Also, I cant seem to find the Ratchet and Clank HD collection...?

Yeah, it even says £16.99 on the ad banner in the PSN itself while the product page (and new dedicated article on the blog) say £21.99.

Despite the well publicised negatives, I'm more tempted by Ridge Racer Vita "WhatItShouldHaveBeen" Edition rather than MGS.

It's a tough decision made tougher by Trails in the Sky's new pricetag. Would happily play it again on the Vita's shiny screen.

Mistake on the Blog. R&C HD is out on Friday to coincide with the traditional UK release date.

I took a notion and started with 2, and i've been watching the missus play through 1, absolutely fantastic stuff. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that i think the remaster job on these is the best one yet!

Played through both Jak and Sly 1 recently (which i both enjoyed), but in therms of sheer playability (the weapons and jetpack are so, so satisfying to use) and wealth of ideas, R&C just wipes the floor with them.

Jak & Daxter Trilogy any good for £20? Always wanted to get into that series but came just too late in the PS2 era to grab it...

I fully agree, Jak and Daxter was my favourite series on PS2, especially the first game which was amazing. Well worth getting at £20.00.

I wouldn't argue with anyone because they prefer J&D over R&C, they're both tops, just R&C is my preference! (Out of the J&D games, i prefer the pure platforming of 1).
