As far as I can tell, Yahtzee's eternal digs at Zelda are always based around the fact that Nintendo just remakes the same story over and over again so to have his big conclusion being that Ocarina of Time spoilt him liking Twilight Princess because it is thematically similar was a bit... rubbish.

That was disappointing. I'm not even an Ocarina fan and I could've come up with funnier stuff that that. I know the point is he always goes for the negatives, but he didn't even say all that much negative, just wild blanket statements on N64 games and basic jibs on the series. I'm not even sure why he didn't enjoy it, or if even if he did or not. I know he didn't like the story, that's about it.

Kirby is the man! Even if he wasn't, he'd just ingest and become one.

Zero Punctuation pisses me off with crappy ad's and then having to F5 'cos the review fails to load after the ad has shown. The Escapist used to be a great website but now it's a broken ad ridden buggy mess.

Zero Punctuation has more ads than X-Factory.

Get yourself some ad blocking software. Firefox, Opera and Chrome all have their own version of Adblock these days (although they vary in quality).

It's getting to the point now where ad blocking software is almost essential if you want enjoy the web. Sometimes I turn of ABP to see if websites have learned there lesson but it lasts about 15 minutes before I put it back on because pretty much every website now is infested with adds that make it very hard to get to the information you want to see.

I dunno about the explodey world. I must have missed the whole explodey world line, or rather not given a flying toss (likely the latter). I thought it was more the lambent was set to infect everyone and the world was massively fucked and about to be enslaved by some nasty... umm... err... what the fuck was the Imulsion again? And why the hell was Queen Myrrah half-human? She kind of alluded to Locust having been human - or human at some stage - but that went no-where. And how the fuck does Fenix's dad know the device works despite being fully infected himself? He says he tested it on himself. Seriously, I'm confused. How can you test it on yourself if it is supposed to kill you?

As you can tell, the plot of Gears at times makes fuck all sense to me anyway. So I'm kind of with Yahtzee on this one. I may have liked Gears more if it made sense. Maybe people will argue I, like many others, was looking to deep into it. But I digress.

It was still a pretty slick game though. I liked it. But thinking about the overall plot and stories being told gives me a headache.

I don't think he literally meant that the world is going to explode. Just that that was the scale of catastrophe that the game tells you is imminent if you don't reach the credits in time.

He probably also didn't mean that the enemies in Resistance 3 sexually assault the world.
