Terrific fun chaps. Online MK7 actually working without a single glitch.

edit: Yeah, for a portable device, that red light comes along alarmingly quickly.

    Any plans for racing tonight?

Are you knee deep in flood water, Mr S?

Got a mate who posted a few pics of his house in York.Seriously flooded garden and kitchen.

I'll be on MK7 in about half an hour if you're around Jono.

edit: On now, getting my arse kicked

We are uphill from the river so have remained perfectly dry. Favourite pic of the last few days is undoubtedly this.

Even in weather that the exiled Duke of Milan would be proud of, you can't keep the British spirit down.

Another good one. They'll be open for business as soon as it's back to ankle deep.

Blimey, York has had a bit of a battering :(

Apologies for my no-show last night - MrsJK went to a yoga class, so I dropped her off and went for a few cheeky solo halves in the local pubs.

I tried joining Thingy yesterday but all I got was a spinning globe. Played a few offline races (4 to be exact) before hand cramp set in. Played Pullblox yesterday. Lovely game.

Good thing the beer festival was last week. The site is a lake this week.

Glad you weren't too affected by the floods, Mr S. However, I need your help to find out which is the bigger farce; The Pink Panther or the management of Blackburn.

If Inspector Clouseau is the next man in charge it couldn't be any less farcical.

Odd. All the chants of USA! USA! USA! seem to have disappeared.

Great match and a scarcely believable result given the first two days. What a finish!

Been far too long since this thread has been bumped. Who's up for a game?

Shocking lack of postage. Would be up for a game but after last night's adventures in ale, it's to be an early night.

I been doing some learning, like.

I may be up for some 3DS kart action next week though. I'll keep checking back. My brain hurts and needs a rest.

Been off gaming for a while, barely controlled chaos at work and it's only set to get worse as the year end creeps towards us.

Thank goodness then for a new Bond movie to lighten the mood. Went yesterday and you should too. Very much story and character driven rather than action led, which probably won't go down well with the dribbling popcorn masses but for fans of the series it's an absolute must. Loads of nods and references to past entries and about 3/4 in there's a moment that any Bond fanboy will be getting all of a trouser quiver over. Opening sequence is probably the best they've done, loads of great lines, Bardem is the best villain for a long time and the ladies are the stuff that dreams are made on.

Evening gentlemen, it's been a while. The thread looks bleak at present, and that's a shame - we're neglecting our role of being a general irritant.

Currently sipping a St Peter's Strong Ale in front of an open fire, with I Am Kloot in the background. I trust you're all ship shape?

I'm doing well, thanks. Hope you are too. We should arrange a game of handheld or Wii version sometime soon.

Evening good people. A day late, but one was out and about sipping this, among others. Took on a half of the former, at 9 a pint it was a touch silly. The latter was a much more reasonable 7 a pint so went for the full Monty and jolly delicious it was too.

Not sure about an online session with the Wii version - I read elsewhere in a much commented thread that it's the worst version ever. That's not some uninformed opinion of a casual layabout either - actual experts have decreed it so. I'm not sure I can get behind something so unfashionable.

Aye-up good people of the karting thread. Been a while. Just a quick heads-up for any of you thinking of getting one of those new console things. Amazon France is currently flogging the Premium with Nintendo Land for 311 Euros.

Works out at 265.11 including delivery using Amazon's currency convert option.

    Here.

A-hoy good Sir Thing! Well found and a damn fine price for a 7 year old console with the worst launch line up in history (it's true, ask the experts). Anyways, I couldn't have you doing all that detective work and not buy one. Now to tell the Mrs.

    Thanks for that.

Well after the US launch fiasco I'm now thinking of cancelling. OR AM I?

Away from all that dizzying excitement, I hope everyone voted in the police elections last week? There's an underclass of career criminal that needs to be targeted and I would urge everyone to write to their elected candidate and ask them to focus on the sausage roll fiends.

The US launch has been terrible, I agree. I've decided to list mine on Ebay straight away. Not even going to take it out of the cellophane wrapping. I've clearly made a mistake, it's a totally shit, broken piece of technology with no redeeming features. Hopefully there'll be a shortage and I'll make some money before Christmas.

    Am I doing this right?

I certainly did vote. Stupidly, I voted for an independent academic lawyer. A politician won. Clearly, politicising the Police is a terrific idea.

Jesus wept, society must be in trouble if the best candidate for an election is a lawyer. I just hope your winning politician has a grip on the whole horse feeding issue.

I'm not worried about the Euro launch, Nintendo's top engineers are right now working on reducing the 40 second load time of the browser between episodes of Takeshi's Castle.

I'm not a graphics whore but I want better graphics. I want my zombies to look real and my spaceships too. Who cares if the games are good, as long as they are aestheticly pleasing. Waggle is shit, but Move is innovative.

Mario Kart Wii is the worst racing game EVER! On a completely unrelated note, that Sonic All Stars and Little Big Planet Karting look fresh and original. Plus they can't do internet, but now it sounds like I'm trolling.

Does any fancy a game sometime? Handheld or this version?

Just watching Chelsea being totally humiliated by Juventus. Ah, fun times.

I'd be up for a game on Thursday Jono. Going to have an hour or so on the 3DS version tonight after the football.
