Arrrgghhh looked like stoke were moving into the playoff positions right up until the 90th minute when cardiff equalised.... gutted. We are now 2 points behind wolves with 3 to play but have a vastly superior goal diff at +19 to wolves -1.

Have to win now against hull, colchester and qpr.

FFS Derby, looks like the play-offs for us now :-(
  • Deleted user 14 April 2007 19:21:56
Come on Leeds! We can still stay up, Hull have two tough away games coming up and if can scrape some points against Southampton away and Ipswich at home we have a chance.

    /crosses fingers

Derby are losing 2-0, and there's 10 minutes left.

    Sunderland are up! \o/

    Absolutely phenomenal turnaround by Keano.

I'm a little disappointed, too. I lived in Derby for two years, and I really like the place. I hope they win the playoffs, but the third placed team rarely does.

    Great, Sunderland and Birmingham.

    :(

Don't really like either. I'd have preferred a club thats either never been in the Premiership or one that's not been there for ages. Bring on the playoffs.

Well the big day on Sunday with about five teams after the three remaining play off spots. Tried to get a ticket for our game against Southend but already a sell out.

It gets really confusing at this time of year when you are trying to keep an eye on three or four matches at the same time.

Anyone want to stick their neck on the line and make any predictions?

    Colchester v Crystal Palace
    Derby v Leeds
    Leicester v Wolverhampton
    Preston v Birmingham
    QPR v Stoke
    Southampton v Southend
    West Brom v Barnsley

Leeds go into administration. 10 point deduction.

No-one mention the 0-6 Southampton farce please.

Anyway easy 3points coming up this weekend -Birmingham at home.

    Oh bollocks :-(

A fellow Wolves fan - I'm not alone. How do you feel about the play-offs? All we have to do is beat Leicester rhis weekend and we are through to them. I always worry about Wolves in any form off play-off.

    Gah. Bastards.

i dont think we will win the playoffs, so the highlight of the season, for me, was going to be 'officially' putting leeds down, now the fuckers have even taken that away from us.....

Even as a United fan, I'm sad to see that. They were down anyway, but still. It seems like only yesterday they were threatening to break up the (at the time) Man United-Arsenal hegemony and were in the SF's of the CL.

I've always been partial to teams that nurture young British talent, and Leeds were up there with the Man U's, the Spurs' and the West Ham's.

They've only done it so that they get the reduction this season instead of next. Don't feel sorry for them, they're doing themselves a favour.

Yeah. They know they are going down, so they are going into administration voluntarily so they can wipe out a few debts and Ken 'Fucking' Bates will buy the club back.

They had to do it today or HMRC would have wound them up in summer anyway, which would have meant a dock next season.

Anyway.....'you do it to yourself, you do, and thats why it really hurts.....'

True, but it was more to do with their overall plight. After all they were down anyway and we've known of their financial difficulties for a long time now. A sad story all told.

    Sad to hear about Leeds...

    GET IN THE SUPERHOOPS!
    :)
  • Deleted user 4 May 2007 17:20:13
Leeds are a cautionary tale yeah, but I struggle to think of any club more deserving. Maybe Chelsea...

Actually that is a bit cunty, I don't really know what I hate Leeds so much, as you say, a proper English club and all that. Ken Bates can go suck himself though.

People hate Leeds for the same reason as people hate Man U.

For a number of years now their fans have generated a reputation for being complete cunts.

I went to see them play Leicester with a mate a few years ago and they spent literally the whole game chanting 'Youre Just a town full of Pakis'.

Just read the story. I laughed at Leeds a couple of season ago: post O'Leary an' all that. Bad taste in my mouth now though. Feel sorry for the players and fans.

Leeds are fucking disgraceful. They should lose 10 points next season. They're doing it now so they don't lose them next season which is essentially cheating. It shouldn't be allowed.

Yeah, and the rules are ambiguous - in one para they say if a club goes into administration after March, then it applies in the next season, and in another it says it is effective immediately. Weird.

so Sunderland win the Championship title with a 5-0 win over Luton. Very impressive climb to the summit by Keane..to go from 3rd last in the league to win it is quite amazing

Can't wait for the Wolves-Albion game. Just a pity this isn't the playoff final instead. This will be a great game though and if we win this, the next game will be easier. I think Albion are probably the strongest team in the playoffs.

Wolves will be bricking it. Albion win 7-0 in their last game. If you take the 3 games this season, the aggregate is 6-1 to Albion.

PLUS Albion have the huge advantage of the second leg being at their place.
