Blethering on about offsides costing his team when our second goal was actually onside and his sides' equaliser actually offside. Don't know where he gets this notion of Boro' being "gone" after they equalised. Certainly saw the game differently to me. -

Registered 3 years agoYork were total garbage today, not seen them play that badly for 5 years. Lost 3-0 at home, could have been much worse. Magnified by the fact we'd had two below average home performances in the last week.
Still, I work in Leeds, plenty of scope for fun on Monday morning. -

Registered 8 years agoIt depends what you read! GFH and or GFHc have been accused from several people supposedly "ITK" of not having a pot to piss in, which would be strange considering that they have supposedly just spent 50 mill on a football club?
Also, Bates was quoted earlier on today as saying that GFHc are backed by a "very wealthy bahraini".
SO, yeah - as I said, Cautiously optimistic at this time! The real test will be if we can get any decent loanees in by the end of play tomorrow. God knows we need a few! -

Registered 9 years agoIt's all confusing. It seems GFH, a Dubai based group, is skint, has no money, can't afford to do anything. GFH Capital, a related but seperate company in Bahrain is the one buying the club. I'm still cautious, a lot is still unclear, and given how much the opacity of the club in the last 8 years has cost us, I'm not getting too overjoyed just yet. Ultimately though, the active fanbase has now dwindled to the point where nobody could hope to make a profit without getting success and a promotion, which is the sole reason Bates has sold now; he doesn't have the money to get us up and the fans have spoken with their wallets that they're not prepared to fund him. It's not in GFHC's interests to not push for success on the pitch. That said, I'll wait to see what happens in the January window before I get my hopes up. -
