Bah! Register your codes at Friend Horde and help create a central repository for all friend and wii codes so that this madness can stop!

Ok, what will happen is that if someone adds you they can confirm it from 'My Horde', then you get messaged with the details of who has added you and their code, there are only a handful of users on the site at the moment because it's only been there a week or so, but thanks for adding, I'll hopefully add you soon so you can see how it works.

Don't forget you can add your game friend codes too.

When someone sends a message to an e-mail address from a Wii, they get a message asking if it's okay from that code@wii.com . If that e-mail address replies back to the console, then the console's paired with that e-mail address.

So if you can get your site to do this then people could add a friend code to a game or a console code to their address book then send your site a message with that same friend or console code. Your site could then notify the other person's Wii via e-mail, if that console has been paired. The other person would be notified with the LED glowing blue, go to the message board, find a message with the friend or console code, add it, and job's done, all from the console.

The problem with friend codes is you need to get the name of the game (which could be misspelt or shortened) as well as the code out of the message. I'll leave the details to you, but you can pay me the royalties though as I filed the patent yesterday.

The site already does this, it has done from day one. Simply send an email too wii@friendhorde.com from your Wii and the site will notify you not only via email and messaging but by the Wii too.

Do you not think that people clued up enough to be reading this thread already have their Wiis connected to the internet? Try the Weight Watchers website or Loose Women forums, or something. Better luck there.
