Biggest shock of the 174 weigh-ins. Arianny's frozen trout face. Jesus girl, lay off the botulism.

Pumped for the Schaub/Arlovski fight. Want big brown to win but you've gotta fear Arlovski if he can launch some bombs from the pocket.

I am more interested to find out which of them has the glassiest chin.

Last few UFC events have been really pish. It's time for Dana to enter the cage, show those TUF competitors about not leaving it in the hands of the judges.

Maybe he could fight Joe Silva

Really they just need to stop having events every week because honestly at the moment it feels almost like a chore to watch them, and the talent isn't there to support such frequent events. When there was one UFC a month, maybe two if you were lucky, it felt much more like an event. You had cards stacked from top to bottom, not fights that should be in the prelims stinking up the main card.

Yeah it wasn't great for a numbered event. Always like to watch Rory MacDonald fight though. Still really looking forward to 175.

With so many fights these days, not every one will be a barn burner.the card looked great on paper but fell flat. It happens.

I completely forget to record the event and was so glad I did.

Even reading the fight reports on Sunday was boring!

Man, I love the way MacDonald toys with guys, but it's a shame he pulls back and doesn't go in for the kill. He hypnotised Woodley against the cage.

Poor Big Brown. Seems like Arlovski got the decision because he managed to hold Schaub against the cage once or twice and not even attempt to land any strikes.

Heh, Forest Griffin lied to the the makers of EA UFC so that he would be younger on the game.

Looks like "Bjork" might be on his way out of Bellator:

Kind of crazy to be ousted from your very own promotion. But then he did sign up for that possibility, and presumably was amply compensated for it, as part of that process.

Crazy twist that Coker is back on the scene, arch rivals, then bezzie mates during the Strikeforce sale, now, presumably, back to the hatred. I know the UFC have a hell of a lot of talent locked into contracts which is a big hurdle for any rivals, but Coker is decent and now dons a coat with incredibly deep Viacom pockets. Interesting times.

New cutting edge techniques, as demo'd by the EA UFC game:

Turns out there wasn't much Sonnen WASN'T taking. HGH and EPO now too, the big cheating eejit.

A salient quote, we can expect a full and honest account of his cheating any day now then:

"When you screw up, you have to own it," said Sonnen. "That stuff really gets under my skin. Take Lance Armstrong. Lance Armstrong did a number of things and he gave himself cancer. He cheated, he did drugs, and he gave himself cancer. Well, instead of saying, ‘Hey listen, I cheated and gave myself cancer, don't be like me,’ he actually made himself the victim and then went out and profited something like $15 million dollars from this, ‘Hey, poor me, let's find a cure for cancer’ campaign. Instead of just coming clean and saying, ‘Look, here’s what I did, I screwed myself up, and I hope people learn from my mistakes.’ You just watch these guys and can’t help but think, God, what a fraud. You got the whole Michael Phelps being a pothead thing, too. I’m just glad I’m in the business I’m in so I can get them in the cage and kick the crap out of them."

Great fight. More aggression from Machida early on and I think he could have had him.

Yeah, a proper entertaining card for a change. Don't worry, they'll be back to the dross again real soon.

It was a good gameplan by Weidman, keep pressuring him but don't overly commit so that he can light him up on the counter.

The Hall toe was grim. And dangerous. Imagine the opponent catching a kick across the face with a broken bone sliding across there. The doctor should have stopped that.

Slightly embarrassing re: Rousey. That was the number two contender. Watch them sign Cyborg soon. She'll loose too though!

And, I wish Weidman would wear slightly looser shorts. Not really tuning in to see every detail of his arse cheeks bobbing around there
    Honest.

I love watching Machida fight, it's his timing and use of distance that is head and shoulders above any other fighter in the UFC (I'm training shotokan so obviously bias).

I can't seem to get behind Weidman as the champ though. He's solid at everything without shining in anything. His post-fight interview was also dull as dishwater, but unfortunately it seems like he'll be champ for a while to come.

Yeah I was really routing for Machida. Weidman is a great fighter but he's utterly beige.

I think Rousey is taking knee surgery rather than answer the challenger of her own challenge that, essentially, BJJ ain't got shit on judo.

The BJJ world champ wants a word. It does feel a bit like Rousey is the Couture of women's MMA - that is, dominant yet a bit one dimensional due to the lack of talent in the early days.

    Plus she's a cunt

I'm kind of coming around to Rousey now. I like the angry face she does when she comes into the ring.

Shame the heavyweight fight got canned. Can't get enough of Ronda. She's light years ahead of her opponents. They come in, all-smiles, not realising the intensity Ronda fights with.

@craigy I was really looking forward to Struve returning to the octagon. I love to watch Mitrione get beaten up. Ever since his uber judgemental comments about the Trans community, I haven't been able to stand him.
