I really thought the XBOX Live Arcade would have several games released every month. Well, they're far off of that stated goal. For some reason, they don't give us release dates for XBLA games either. And, it's getting rather boring now...having to play Uno and Spades, instead of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. It's really turning out to be one of the weaker aspects of their overall plan for the system. It's probably second to backwards compatibility in terms of failed execution.

I hope that we get some titles from Microsoft Games studios on the arcade. They seem scared or unwilling to use their own IP to make XBLA games. What about a Halo title or even a Fable title in the arcade. It would be good for those waiting for the sequels. Doing that would actually lend some legitimacy to the idea of downloading small games, get more publishers interested, and get more people checking out the arcade.

It would be good to see software released more frequently on the Arcade. I know of titles that are in development, and MS definitely hasn't forgotten about it. Don't expect to see Hoopworld soon, though.

Yes. Uno and the like clearly has no place on Live Arcade, what with it being fairly brilliant and incredibly good fun. Give us repetitive beat em ups that everyone mastered 10 years ago and crappy spin-offs that would probably serve as nothing more than viral marketing for a full game release please, and give them to us now.

You could have summarised your whole post with "I'm too impatient to wait a month", really. I also don't recall them saying "We will release several Live titles a month".

FWIW, the release schedule for Live Arcade looks a bit like this at the moment:

    SF2: June
    Cloning Clyde: July
    Frogger: August
    Lumines Live: August
    Roboblitz: September
    Pacman: September

That's only "some", apparently. I'd expect a few more titles, but Lumines Live alone could keep people going for months. No idea what Cloning Clyde and Roboblitz are though. Hopefully with Pacman they'll do what they did with GC, which was one person playing Pacman, 4 people playing ghosts with limited screenview, them having to coordinate to find pacman. That was awesome fun.

Yeah, I wish there was a more regular roll out of games onto the arcade service, both classics and some new IPs from the independant studios they announced at E3.

I suspect we're not goning to see a steady, regular influx of new games onto the service until the weeks preceding the PS3 launch.

A USB arcade stick for Xbox Arcade stuff would be cool :)

All I want is Yak's game on Arcade! \o/

MK wouldn't be so bad. It relied more on directions rather than quarter-circles and the like, didn't it? Still, putting SF and MK up seems more fanboy service than actual effort. I tired of SF2 5 years ago. SF3 would probably be more welcome.

In fact, a Live enabled Marvel Vs Capcom 2 would do me just fine. I could die happy then.

How does someone get tired of SFII? :) I wouldn't have thought it was possible. SF3 is a great game, but better than SFII? Come on now :)

Oh, it's a fantastic game, no doubt, I just wish they'd occasionally do something more with it than trot it out every few months. Sure, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but from what I've read this is just the SF Anniversary Collection sans SF3. If people really wanted it now, they could just go and buy that, surely? Unless I've missed something radically new in this one, other than it being on Live Arcade.

In fact it's not even that. It's JUST Hyper Fighting / SF2 Turbo.

Anyone know when Galaga is coming out?

26 years ago is not the right answer.

Microsoft has been saying all along that it's quality over quantity and that's exactly the right way to do this. I want to know that I'm not downloading some crap I wish I never touched on XBLA.

That said, a couple of titles a month shouldn't be that hard to achieve. I think that's their goal, but it'll take time until they have enough reliable small devs working on 360 games.

I'm thrilled that they're talking with Introversion, now.

I dont mind games that are overdue. Means that Devs get extra time to make the games better and i get more time to spend on all those games that i havent yet played.
