    Same format most episodes. Seems like one thing, turns out to be another, except it actually isn't and is the obscure thing that somebody thought of at the beginning but it wasn't considered plausible at the time but makes perfect sense now.

    That isn't the fun part though, pretty much everything House says and the way he interacts with the other characters are the highlights of the show.

    Veronica Mars is an odd one to describe. On paper, it is a Nancy Drew style drama where a schoolgirl who works part-time for her private detective dad solves mysteries for her friends. In reality though it is a quite smart "Buffy without the vampires" style drama.

    If you like crime shows, Bones is worth a look - it's like CSI with more emphasis on the characters than the dead body. Starts on Sky One in a week or two.

    Supernatural is quite good as well - starts of shakily but picked up as it got on. Kinda like a paranormal Millenium-lite program.
    hmmm ok cheers for the info. Think i'll give prison break and bones a try - but gonna wait until they've finished the whole season, cos i HATE waiting for episodes...one of the reasons i havent watched lost series 2 yet

    With guest stars such as Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon, more sarcastic jokes then Dead Like Me, how can Veronica Mars by aimed at teenage girls?

    It's strange. I haven't once thought of Angel watching Bones - David Boreanaz just seems so different to his previous character.

    Whenever I've seen any of the other actors from Buffy or Angel in new programs though, my brain has always kept linking them to their original characters. For example, when James Marsters turned up in Smallville, I kept thinking it was Spike with a funny accent.

    Maybe DB is a better actor than I gave him credit for. Or maybe I was just too distracted by Bones to notice... ;)

    Yep "the end begins" as the trailer would have it! the strike team are fucked don't you think?

    sorry about the confusion though it starts in the US this month and "should" be on Five sometime soon after....it's also rumoured to be 22 episode long (compared to 4's 13 ) and the last one to be made.

    24 season 5 I think starts Feb 19th in the UK...

    Sleeper Cell is supposed to be an excellent new series (10 episodes aired thus far).

    It can be found at all good newsgroup and torrent sites ;)

    Well if you want the first 9 eps burnt on a DVD, just as a backup in case you miss them on Sky or something, I might know someone who could get them for you... ;)

    Atlantis hasn't been too bad, actually. Kind of like SG1 used to be back in the beginning.

    Keeping on the scifi theme, Battlestar Galactica and The 4400 have been excellent shows especially considering Sky helped pay for them!!!

    Don't heap too much praise on Sky, they put some money towards Threshold aswell.

    I suppose my taste is unsophisticated, I haven't much liked any recent SciFi series apart from Stargate Atlantis.

    As far as I'm concerned, over my life time the pinnacle of American tv viewing has included The A-Team, Knight Rider and Xena:Warrior Princess.

    I'm actually enjoying series 5 of Alias, though Vaughn is only going to end up in a handful of episodes.
    It's off till March now anyway as Garner is on maternity leave.
    Can't wait to see how it all ends.
    Lost next week yay!
    FOUR episodes of brand new 24 spread over two consecutive days - kick ass (think that's next week).

    Oh. I've seen some House. It just looked like a more focussed ER, crossed with a less death-oriented Six Feet Under. With Hugh Laurie pretending to be American. Which just pissed me off.
