I've never watched his stand up either. Might have to dabble.

Agree he's fucking hilarious. I'm properly disappointed with the sick shit he's pulled, especially as he has two girls, I mean what kind of message is that for them. It's fucking unbelievable.

His tv show is excellent, but it doesnít sit right to be lamenting the loss of some trivial entertainment given the circumstances.

Because he was one of my idols in stand up, I admired his writing his art and his general attitude to life. He wasn't just a stand up he wrote, directed, edited and produced. He would put his own money on the line to push forward creative projects and new talent.

I remember going through a tough time a few years ago and listening to his interview with Marc Maron discussing their lost friendship as they had not spoken to each other for over a decade. Neither of them had spoken over some perceived slight by the other and rather than dealing with it they just left it to fester. I remember being sat on a bus being overcome with the fucking raw emotion of it and it kicked me out of my stupor.

Now of all that is tainted.

You can laugh or point or say whatever. I was defending him earlier this week and now I feel like a dick.
I am just sad about the whole thing.

    Songs we couldn't do 2017.

1972. Biggest band in the world gets it's rocks off to a brutally racist ditty about sado-masachism, slavery, child rape, oral sex, heroin and a dangerously calorific carbohydrate implicated in an alarming rise in type-2 diabetes.

Surprisingly some people are big fans of comedy and the "art" of stand-up. Is it really that difficult to understand why some people might be quite sad that possibly the funniest guy on the planet just turned out to be a creeper and won't be working anymore.

I've never even heard of him until now. That confession was a bit weird to read.

So we're not allowed to be sad that it's happened?

The thing with comedy is itís funny when itís fresh and relevant, his stuff next year might have been shit. His stuff last year isnít funny any more. What exactly have we lost as a society

His stuff has been funny for years and it's someone who people have liked and respected for a long time. It's natural that people are going to be sad that it's happened. I don't get how that's difficult to understand?

I've seen one or two bits of his. Something about him always seemed really creepy to me. Not that I can claim to have any special sensitivity to this - I remember enjoying Dave Lee Travis' radio programme while I was a youngster.

I find it difficult to understand how someone can be devastated about not having any more Louis CK stand up for a while, but I guess I was similarly nonplussed when Jason Manford got caught wanking with a finger in his mouth. He still made a come back, so thereís hope for Louis fans

To be honest, watching him wave his willy about would probably be funnier than his stand up.

(Only kidding. I realise this must be a difficult time for all his fans...) 😜

    I'll shut up now.

I've sung Brown Sugar at karaoke fairly recently, and Honky Tonk Women, so you can definitely add me to the list.

I'm running out of weird songs, I'll have to go local.
This was huge in Belgium in the year 2000. Won't make any sense to you guys but the refrain goes "everyone who doesn't jump is a homo". It was a real party starter back then.

Ellen Page says that Brett Ratner verbally abused her and suggested she had sex with another woman during the making of X-Men: The Last Stand.

Outing someone who's gay is one of the most damaging things you can do to a gay person.

What about killing their dog? Or burning their house down? Or murdering everyone they've ever loved?

When do we move from public shaming to purging all the films that had some degree of what we now class as sexual assault. Which is pretty much all films. Indiana Jones, Star Wars etc. etc. Serious question btw, Iím trying to play this whole thing out to the end and I think what is happening is a good thing. Just curious as to where it ends.

I must admit, I've never really been into Louis CK. I did try watching his most recent show on Netflix, but I turned off not long in as I thought it was complete garbage.

I assumed that was a bad example of his work, rather than him being outright shit though.
