Finished all the campaigns just need to go over a few to gold medal the ones I messed up.
I still for the life of me can't do anything on the A+ races in 2048

Jumped back on this on Phantom after a stint on Dirt Rally... Crashy crashy!
Anyone pick up Redout on console? Didn't realise it launched last week.
Might give it a go when (if) I Elite Pass the last few 2048 events.

Yeah I'm also wondering about Redout.. there's also Radial G too, all of a sudden we have 3 futuristic racers!
@IronGiant Ooooh, I've not heard of Radial G...
/Late night Googles
Picked up Redout today. It's not Wipeout, and that's both good and bad.
It's doing its own thing and the controls are very different. Lots of different events, looks great and the music is good.
However, it doesn't have the same "thread the needle", super accurate handling of Wipeout, feels more like Fzero. The announcer (that can't be turned off) made me want to cut my speaker wires. Some of the shop designs are horrendous and the camera is a little bit too close to the ground.
Been playing it continuously since I got in just after six, so it's certainly doing something right.
I finished the final few Fury events last night - gold medals on all of them (only in Skilled, not Elite!). I've got a few more trophies to mop up, and I'll do the odd online race.
Brilliant game, though. Not perfect, but certainly one of the best of the year for me.
Nice, congrats! I'm still chipping away at this in between other things.
Went to get the trophy for winning all of the races in an 8-stage RaceBox tournament on Skilled or Elite difficulty last night, but it didn't pop
I've no idea what I did wrong, but it's slightly irritating that I wasted half an hour... Maybe I'll have another go over the weekend.

That's weird, popped first time for me. It was a bit grindy actually as I put the speed down low and chose an easy track to make sure I won, and then ended up doing it with zero challenge and being a bit bored.
The other trophies on the other hand are brutal

So I have been chipping away at this too but not grokking it yet.
Are you supposed to hold down thrust all the time? At the moment I am, and using the air brakes on tight corners. It feels wrong but faster than releasing thrust before a turn.
How often do you use sideways shift? Seems useful but I can never pull it off in time.
@ardamillo I use it more than most I think, probably twice a lap. On lower speed classes it is rare to need to come off the throttle or use the airbrakes. On higher classes both become essential although you will still be on the throttle most of the time...

I might be in the minority here, but I love the soundtrack on this thing.
I wish I could buy the whole collection in one go but it doesn't appear to be available on Amazon etc - has anyone found any decent 'alternative sources'?
