Hopefully we'll collectively agree that having a referendum on something like this is a shit idea and we'll never do it again.
Why is it a shit idea to let the people decide who they want to be governed by?
Because last year we elected a bunch of people whose job it is to be well informed about the most important issues that face this country, and trust them to make decisions on our behalf.

Thanks to the dismal quality of both campaigns the general public is quite blatantly terribly informed about the EU and shouldn't be making this decision.

Sadly I cannot vote as I am away on Business and my application to nominate a proxy was rejected.

Indeed. There shouldn't be "campaigns" in the first place. There should be facts and figures, and a decision made based on the best informed projections on the future.

If the majority votes 'leave', can I still visit London next week?

I've seen on Twitter a few people asking if we'll still be in the European Championships and Eurovision if we vote out. I don't think they were joking either. It's a small percentage but I can't help thinking that some people haven't got a clue what they're being asked.

Well from what I gather, if we vote leave the uk government is going to get a big pole and push us further out to sea and out of the European borders. Fuck know what the RoI are going to do.

Pretty conclusive if you ask me. 51% > 49%. 49%ers can fuck off, whoever they are.

    My guess is 51.6% stay.

With Jon Snow getting all excites about a 'massively divided nation' with the pikey towns and shires all wanting to leave and the cities wanting to stay...

I've actually been taking advantage of the EG thought police by building subliminal messages into my posts so that they ban on my command.

SkyBet offering 4/1 on Remain with > 60% of votes saying that.

    Sounds pretty safe.

    I'm guessing that's a new customer promo. It's 1/9 on there, 11/2 leave.

@Zomoniac as standard, but the Boost pricing right now is 4/1 with 60% of the vote

No, Eurogamer, but access from the UK is blocked and all articles will be written in German.

As I head off to bed, there have been 5 declarations and Leave is around 3200 votes ahead; probably going to swing back and forth for most of the night, rather than an early lead running away with it, I suspect.

Will be interesting to see what the result is, in the morning...

Right, time the foreign office earned it's fucking money, we need free trade deals with every fucker, Japan, Canada, Australia & China to start.

Also Labour have got to start a serious push for proportional representation to get the masses politically involved or dumb shit like this will happen again.
