I was thinking the same thing didn't expect it to do half as well. I have underestimated the want for true 4K gaming.
It'll be interesting how sales continue over the next few weeks/months.. there's always early adopters and those that have to have the latest and greatest (annoyingly I fall into that bracket) but I do think a lot of people disappointed with how the XB1 turned out will jump in now.

If I see a decent bundle with a couple of games I'll bite.

@Derblington Ok thanks. Think I might wait until they update MCC next year, by then I'll have a better idea if I wanna purchase one.

You probably checked all your connections, your tv and your powerstrip/sockets.

Take it back and get a replacement.

There's a pin hole on the side of the console near the disc drive. Insert a paper clip in to it until the disc pops out jusy enough to remove the disc.

    OOohhh errr!

Anyone else noticed the top is still mildly warm even though the console has been off all day?
I'm just wondering if keeping it on the always on state is good for it?

Thing uses an amazing 30 watts in standby.

I turned off instant on since Iím not carrying over my Kinect. Iíll miss it but not buying the adaptor.

The fact the Kinect adapter requires a power supply put me off getting one.

@Fake_Blood Yeah I disabled Instant On for that reason.

EDIT: Actually, according to this article, the X only uses 10 watts when set to Instant On:
    https://www.anandtech.com/show/11992/the-xbox-one-x-review/6

Perhaps it depends whether it's downloading anything and whether you have a game in progress.

10 watts is much more reasonable. Donít know how high the leccy bill is in the uk, but 30 watts would cost about the price of a game/year here in merry old Belgium.

Having the Xbox one X on all year in instant on at 10W means it uses 87.6 KWH.

At the UK average electricity cost of 14.37p/KWH that comes to 12.58 UK quid.

£13 a year so i dont want to wait for patches sounds good value to be honest. Basically 1 pound a month and think how many hours you save not waiting around.

    https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/11/xbox-one-x-review-an-exclamation-point-for-hardware-a-question-mark-for-software/

ArsTechnica seems to think it's 36 watts though, which falls in line with people saying it's warm to the touch when off.
I'd keep an eye on it, because £39/year starts to get a bit silly imo.

I almost bought one today from Argos and AssCreed Origins for Ä30 with it. I could still get it tomorrow but I probably won't use it much until I'm finished with Mario Odyssey and Zelda. I could sell Origins for Ä40 at Cex. I want one but I know I should wait until I have saved a bit towards it and don't have two of the best games I've ever played on the Switch.
