I still have this preordered but just have a 1080p projector and plasma TV. Not sure it's wise to keep it but my OG is so big when I take it anywhere. Can I still use voice commands if I get rid of my kinect (as im not buying that bloody adaptor)

Not sure if this has been reported yet but in the UK Currys are currently doing an X with free Halo 5, Forza 7 and Quantum Break.

I saw that. And I am thinking about cancelling my pre-order for the Project Scorpio Xbox I have. I was thinking about waiting with my pre-order, but I got laughed at in this very thread about waiting for closer to the date, to see if I could get a sweeter deal. Preferably one with another pad. But nevermind. I didn't enjoy Halo 5 as much, didn't really like Quantum Break and have played enough Forza in my life to never need to play another one.

@HarryB Sort of. You can use voice commands via headset, but only the shitty "Cortana" commands, not original flavour Xbone commands.

Ah I don't use cortana. I guess I'll just stick to my fire TV for media. The Xbox commands were so handy for volume and pausing

@Slarti42 The first offer compared with the second offer doesnít make sense to me, unless Iím reading it wrong. Good find, I would be tempted to go with the second offer, but donít want to swap Scorpio for the normal edition. Silly it may sound.

@HarryB You could always invest in the media remote. The official version is a bit pricey, but I wouldn't be without it.

Cancelled my preorder outright today. Bought a 1080 TI instead. No point having both thanks to MS letting me buy their games on PC. Will slum it with the day one xbox one and lord it with the 1080 ti.

I am looking for reviews for the LG 43UJ635V. Seems to be new and I can't find any reviews that would let me know if the TV would have decent HDR. Apart from the fact that it is only £350, so probably not. Anybody that can assess TVs from specs better than me, care to let me know if this TV is worth it?

@Vice.Destroyer Says HDR 10 support, so should be ok. But please don't take my word for it :D I spent days researching crap when I bought my TV last year, and it nearly made my brain melt - every company likes to call their HRD support something different, so it made it really difficult to tell if they supported the HDR 10 standard.

This one seems easy enough, as it lists HDR 10 in the tech specs! However, I'm also a bit wary, given that price. See if you can find a review for it on a trusted site, something like rtings.

@Ror Thanks for the rtings tip. I think that this (link below) must be the review for that TV. Seems good. And in all honesty, I am not sure I am enough of a connoisseur to tell the difference between an average and excellent HDR-enabled TV.

For shits and giggles, I am going to look for a review of my current TV.

@Vice.Destroyer No worries. When I bought my TV, there wasn't an entry for it on rtings, so I just had to wing it. For all I know, there still isn't one - I can't remember the model number now!

If that is the right one, 7/10 for HDR gaming is pretty bloody good for the price.

Pre ordered the Scorpio edition from Amazon.

How do Amazon send items of this value out? Do they just send them out with their normal couriers?

Thanks for the research VD, think I might look at one of them for my xbonex hdr needs.

£400 for UDHD with decent HDR sounds better than paying 1600+ and 43" will be easier to convince the missus about rather than some monster telly cluttering up the living room.

With a 6.5 PQ and 7.0 on HDR for gaming, I'd seriously check it out somewhere with the correct settings before putting money down.
Poor HDR may as well be no HDR, which means you're spending hundreds on a 4k screen alone.

Their summary on HDR gaming is
Good HDR gaming performance. While the HDR effect isn't very strong, the input lag and overall gaming experience remain good even in HDR.
which doesn't sound great to me.

Fair enough, Derblington. I guess my problem is, that I have not experienced a perfect representation of HDR in the flesh and that makes it difficult to sell a tech to me, where acceptable kit starts at £1,200+.

If they say that it is Good HDR, but not the best, I can live with that.
Reason for that is, that I was and am still am not bothered when a game is rendered at 900p, rather than 1080p. I survived playing my SNES games at 50hz, rather than 60hz. And I am still not able to tell the difference between games running at 30fps vs 60fps. I am not that consumer. I'll look for further reviews, but I like the size and price of that TV.

@SiroccoJetProp usually via yodel who will bash it about a bit and eventually throw it up on your roof, whilst leaving you an apology note.

If you canít tell the difference of all of those things I wouldnít bother getting the Xbox One X as itís pretty much aimed at the folk who do.

But to be fair, there are other benefits to the Xbox One X, compared to the Xbox One. Improved loading times, 4K gaming and HDR. That and the fact that I have given my Xbox One to my brother doesn't make me feel like I am upgrading to something I won't appreciate.

Certain stores must have limited console availability on the day.
