I really like the look of this! It seems to have an emphasis on exploration which I love. I do wonder if what they showed was a mission or just general gameplay. Probably the former, and that's fine, but if it's the latter then I'm even more excited for it.

I wonder how long Ubisoft can keep surprising us with new IP reveals, with gameplay as well, at their E3 conferences.

Im a little concerned about the frame rate, these 'in game' demos are alway sure never to move the camera too fast, but with the level of detail in that opening area, I really dont see the framerate being above 30fps, something I was hoping we'd avoid in the 'next gen'. Still, I guess superior graphics vs stable framerate is the trade off we shall always have to live with.

Agreed I thought I was all burned out on shooters but there's a wonderful shine and power to this.

Does look a bit too perfect. Not sure how real it will end up.

    Very interested to see more.

Tom Clancy brand must be pretty worthless by now surely. Doesn't even write his own books any more.

Don't think Ubisoft need to shoehorn it in.

Thought this looked utterly sublime, love the UI. Not knowing anything about the game I thought hey these voice actors are good!

Tablet support as well, nice touch.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

A lot of my friends are hyped about this, some of them aren't even fans of shooters.

It did look phenomenal. Can't wait.

Looks like the tablet is for using on the helicopters, maybe it flies over without you controlling it and you tap enemies etc to target them ala the demo, good concept, Im not entirely sure how often it'll actually get used but seems like a pretty nice idea

From the demo it seemed like the tablet player could just "drop in/out" as they pleased.

Been watching the video for this again(and again) and it really does look like it could be a brilliant game. For a start it looks absolutely stunning and I couldn't help but get Alpha Protocol vibes off some of what I was seeing, which can only be a good thing!

I like the look of the RPG-lite elements in the way you have multiple skills or abilities to select from and weapons and other scavenged items to find and it could be pretty good fun building a multiple skilled team to take on the various challenges you'll face whilst playing.

It'll be interesting to see how the game plays out with regards to whether it's a story driven experience or alternatively based on a more purely 'survivalist' experience like a DayZ style game. I did notice that some of the NPC's were 'scanned' for some sort of infection by the player character and were shown as being 'contagious', so whether that means rabid-infected type enemies at some stage we'll have to wait and see!

Reading the website it looks likely this will be a XBone/PS4 exclusive :(

Powered by our new game engine Snowdrop™, tailor-made for next-gen consoles, Tom Clancy’s The Division achieves a whole new level of gameplay quality. Snowdrop takes full advantage of the new consoles with dynamic global illumination, stunning procedural destruction and an insane amount of detail and visual effects.

I believe the OP video is the one they showed on stage. I can never get the YT links to stream in 1080p smoothly, so try this page for an alternative stream - select 1080p obv.

Looks alright. Well, obviously it looks more than alright. Overall it seemed sort of interesting.

Only just watched the footage of this. Looks amazing.

Can't decide if the comms in-game or from live players. If it's in-game, that natural style is really immersive and effective. If it's not, devs should ape that style.

Sounded to me like "live" (staged) players.

While it's clearly supposed to be live players (albeit scripted), using it for a presentation made it feel bland and lifeless to me. In the middle of a firefight you don't have people impassively saying "to your left" in the same manner you'd read out a shopping list. It made the entire game seem completely lacking in tension.

I appreciate that's how it'll be with real life comms and whatnot, but still, for the presentation they should have either done without or found people vaguely capable of emotion.

Yeah staged live and a bit too good to be true. Looks like a promising game though. Oddly seemed to have a bit of a day z vibe about it

After playing Zombiu I have faith that Ubisoft know what theyre doing with a dayz style survival game, I'm not sure this is that game, looks more of an action game but it bodes well for the future

I didn't see all the game reveals at E3 but of the ones I did see this game is the most appealing to me. With a nicely setup and organised squad this game could be truly awesome.

Respawning next to or near your squad would be a must for me though.

Hopefully it will come out on PC as well as I won't be rushing into buying a new console (PS4 btw if and when I do).

@INSOMANiAC Hey, at least it's not another zombie game huh?

Take those out of the equation and the global pandemic stuff is oddly ... original for a game?

I actually quite liked the idea of the world being just on the brink of a pretty realistic cause of a civilisational collapse. There was a great documentary about the last 'proper' bird flu epidemic at the end of WWI and it was scarily near to this scenario. Infrastructure was close to totally falling apart in places.
