His whole schtick quickly wore thin for me, tbh... all of the characters in general weren't as compelling as the first two seasons. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood.

Yeah it didn't feel as good as the first two for me either. Good. But not that great really.

Tried Altered Carbon and dozed off the other day. Ooops. Looked really clichéd and kind of overbearingly INTENSE, is it?

I'm three epsiodes in to season 3 and really like it so far. Highlights so far being Mac from IASIP turning up as that cop in LA, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead's rear.

Just finished Fargo season 3. Meh... didn't grab me as much as the first two seasons.
On about episode 6 and I'd say the same really. The first two were excellent. It's still pretty good, but seems to be lacking something.

Series one is pretty close to the film in a lot of ways, series 2 is really tense and builds to a phenomenal last couple of episodes.

Definitely going to finish it though and I hope they do a fourth, which is apparently on the cards.

It's pretty mega, a cross between total recall original and blade runner.

@cantifold but I'm assuming nowhere near as good as either?

    Does Brooklyn Nine Nine get....good?

I'm four episodes in and, while I don't hate it, I haven't really laughed yet and there's only really two interesting characters in it (the hard female cop, and the admin assistant person).

It's 5-6/10 material but that's not enough for me to continue with it if it doesn't suddenly improve.

Godless. Western series set in 1884 in 'merica Only halfway into episode 2 but so far it is rather brilliant

I'm new to this Netflix thing, trying it out for a month. Just watched two episodes of Dirk Gently, as I loved the books. I'm not really sure what to think of it yet, but it's wonderfully weird. Off to bed now, let's see what I think tomorrow.

Stick with it. Same thing happened to me. I just didn't understand the recommendations. Can't remember when exactly it clicked, but it's brilliant once it gets into it's groove.

@David_Richardson cheers, I’ll stick with it.

I think the issue I had with the first 4 episodes is that they were trying too hard to be funny, and it ended up feeling really forced. If it settles down a bit the material is there, so I’ll give it longer.

Yeah it was a chore toward the end rather than compelling. It started off great then seemed to lose its way. Series 2 for me was the pinnacle - the second half especially was fantastic.

B99 is one I enjoy watching, but yeah it's hit rate is pretty low. It's not one I'd rewatch, but it's kinda charming.

Think Looper might have been Netflix on for ages. Brilliant film too.

Would love to watch the British film, The Ritual, on British Netflix. No dice. We're the only country outside of South America that doesn't get it, somehow.

Same. Second was my favourite but loved the first too. Third I felt I was watching through obligation as much as anything half the time.

Disappointing. I'll still get round to it, but enthusiasm is dampened somewhat.

Oh :( I feel I enjoyed S3 more than S2, though I did watch them back-to-back. I didn't find the Gerhardts as interesting as finding out what mischief Stussy and Feltz had gotten themselves in.

I'm halfway through The Punisher at the moment and it's surprisingly brilliant. Wasn't expecting much given the middling reviews but other than being a touch drawn out its really very good. Certainly better than Jessica Jones and all the other shitty stuff. Jon Bernthal is great.
