    It does.

Also, yes I’m watching travelers, too. Cuz it’s Canadian there’s a ‘oh it’s that guy from stargate’ moment in every episode but I’m really enjoying it and am more than a bit in love with marcy
Also lots of guest stars from Continuum (another Canadian time travel show).

Travelers is awesome - one my favourite shows of the last few years.

It's produced by Amanda Tapping too. Its a lot of fun.

Amanda Tapping is in (at least) one of the episodes as well.

It's also created by brad wright too who also co-created the stargate tv steries and spin offs.

Just finished American Vandal, a well realised idea that is both funny and quite moving in places. The whole section with the party footage was really well done and it had a pretty satisfying conclusion. Well worth a watch and it is a pretty short series.

I watched that Gay Talese/Gerald Foos Voyeur documentary. Interesting…

Foos has got one of those voices that sounds really slick.

Finished Godless last night, absolutely amazing series.

Still want to know more about some of the characters, will probably watch the whole thing again which is pretty unusual for me!

Yeah, Godless is fantastic. Only on Ep 3.

    Jeff Daniels is great.

    Wormwood is also very good.

If you enjoy the feel of stuff like the Channel 4 seasons of Black Mirror or movies like Prevenge then you've got to watch End of the Fucking World.

It was on C4 last year but I'm not sure it really found the audience it deserved.

    So....

Devilman Crybaby: I am/was a big fan of Go Nagai, mazinger, violence jack, devilman and all that caper, so I was eager to check out this new re-imagining.

It's safe to say, it's probably the most hardcore thing on netflix and certainly up there with overfiend in terms of pure, in your face nastiness. Every gross anime trope is present, correct and turned up to eleven. If you watch it with someone who already thinks anime is sketchy and watched by sexless perverts, they will just sit and shake their heads.

It also looks like shit. The art isn't shaded and looks like it was drawn by that weird kid at school whose notebooks are full of homebrew hentai.

But.... and it's a big but... if you make it through the first couple of episodes, its actually really good. It never lets up but it's a good interpretation of the devilman story and the shitty animation starts to make sense in that it's a deliberate artistic choice, almost pop art, so when the blood starts flowing, it looks like one of those crazy, psychedelic 70s cartoons where everything is purple and orange, but with tits that turn into tentacles with razor toothed nipple mouths.

YMMV drastically, but it's definitely worth a watch. On your own. And tell no one. Then wipe it from your watched list. And burn your TV.

I get bad enough looks from my partner for watching live action Japanese stuff on Metflux without falling right through a weeaboo trapdoor with a show like that

Luckily we don't share a profile

    @Negan

Certainly is, I'm sure I've seen her in something else but can't remember what.

Has everybody watched Dad of Light yet?

I've just had a second go around and the ending has got me all over again

Actually, was she not in the first season of Homeland?

Now she is working in Homeland, how times have changed. Haha

I second this. One of the best shows of last year IMO.

Looks like it's reviewing really well as a "Netflix original" after slipping under the radar first time around.

Also Good Time is a good film now on Netflix. Only just came out as a rental and I just paid to rent it two days ago.

There’s a documentary called Five Came Back which should interest those of you who have a penchant for cinema and WW2.

I enjoyed the film Green Room. Horror with Picard and Nazis. Not reviewed terrbily well but it is worth a watch imo

Watching Travelers s2. It is hokum but fun. Veers closer to 'monster of the week' (on the form of 'scenario X') than i would like (which is: at all) but it is watchable. I really like Trevor, David (Nice Guy who is actually Nice?) and Marcy is gorrrrrjus.

However, i cannot unsee Kat's weirdly flat and wide nose.

I really enjoyed Dark, especially the Soundtrack.

It's kind of Stranger Things as if done by Michael Hanake. I was getting a lot of White Ribbon vibes.

    Recommended.

Now watched The emEnd Of The Fucking World. Opening salvo: 'I'm James and I'm pretty sure I'm a psychopath"

5 episodes in and it's really good.

As much as I like the characters, if they do a third series, I'm very much over David and Marcys 'will they? won't they?' routine.

Has anyone done Frozen Dead yet?

It looks ridiculous but like it has a lot of fun nonsense in how serious it all is
