The Office (original) just beats it for me. If you can call The Office a sitcom.

BBT become awful when my partner and 'non-nerd' friends started getting the jokes.

That's when I knew it started getting rubbish.

The Office was 12 episodes and a special. That's barely even half a series of Seinfeld, of which there were nine in total.

Even if it was better (not convinced it was), nothing comes close to Seinfeld for sustained quality. Even The Office got worse in the second series.

The amount of botox on screen will make Joan Rivers look normal. Let it die.

Yeah I knew someone was going to pull me on the length (matron!), but I still think that The Office, despite it being short, is just perfect from start to finish. Seinfeld comes a very close second for me though.

Best British TV show of all time for me. And I hate Gervais. But thats kind of the point with the show, Brent is supposed to be an unlikeable cunt.

Since nowhere else is reporting it, I think we can assume this isn't happening. Excuse me for not trusting "elitedaily.com".

The Office was excellent but it wasn't funny, it just had an unbelievably high cringe factor and was extremely well done and innovative in it's day.

Friends is the programme that has changed E4 from my default "hungover" channel to Comedy Central. No matter how many times I've seen an episode, I still enjoy it immensely.

Not sure how I view a return though, for me it's pretty much perfect as it is and ended superbly.

That's actually how I'd describe almost every JRPG.

Same as NKOTB without JT then.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

A one-off reunion show would be good, but they'd be mental to do a whole new series.

Pretty sure Marta Kauffman said that if Friends ever did return, they would only do a feature length episode.

I disagree. I mean, it's great yes, but I don't think he's meant to be an unlikeable cunt. Just a bit of an embarrassment, no self awareness, deluded, but in an almost innocent way. He's not a bad person or anything.

And this is drivel too I'm afraid. Like when people say the same about Alan Partridge or Peep Show. If you're cringing rather than laughing, then you're probably missing something.

    Oh dear.

Anyway, new Friends... Weird. You can only assume they all miss fame and sense of purpose or something, because it can't be for lack of money.
A reunion episode could be good, but a new series sounds weird. It's not like they can all be living in the same apartment again.

Gervais once said in an interview that Brent is a twat, but Finchy is the real cunt.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

The original story is from E! where they say the story isn't true. I'd have linked to that but I'm on my phone now and can't load the page.

    Anyway, it's still not happening.
