@Ultrasoundwave I couldn't have put it better myself. I agree with every word. Alun-Wyn as captain is a no-brainer for me too. Very harsh on BoD to be totally dropped from the squad.

    @welshben23

Cheers mate, it all seems pretty obvious to me though.

The best part now is the English press tearing Gatland apart, including full-time knob jockey Austin Healey.

It seems that (surprise surprise) the English press are shocked and appalled that there arent more English players in the Lions team - to be honest, their lucky that they've got two players in there.

Corbisiero is a good call - he's a better scrummager than Vunipola and his strength will help us, but Parling hasnt done much at all IMO. He's decent in the line-out but his on-field play is almost non-existent - personally, i would have gone with Richie Gray.

Come lunchtime on Saturday, we'll know if Gatland made the right decisions or not.....

Great start and Lions looking very strong. Especially dominating the scrums. Good stuff so far!

The Lions need to get something on the scoreboard rather quickly.

Static runners, short passes, bang bang drives... Not the best rugby to watch from the lions. Where's the dummy runs and missed passes, the power game plan is wearing off and there doesn't seem to be a plan B.

Halfpenny is absolutely wasted playing for Cardiff.

Perfect time to score that try. Halfpenny is just pure class, great try. Now finish it off dammit!

3 years ago he could hardly get a game for the Blues second team, now look at him the beautiful bastard. Player of the tour I reckon.

Well done Lions. They made hard work of it (but it added to the drama) but in the end when it mattered they turned on the style and come out with an awesome victory both in the game and series. Great stuff!

I was a bit concerned when Australia started scoring some point but fortunately that didn't last, what an amazing end to the series.

I really didn't expect Australia to be out classed so badly although not opting to kick penalties in the first half will haunt them for a long time. Entertaining match at least.

Outstanding performances all over the pitch - Gatland got the dominant scrum he wanted and it had a massive influence on the game.

The forwards were powerful, not only in the scrum, but in getting over the gainline. Corbisiero got an excellent try, Alun-Wyn Jones led like an inspired captain, Toby Faletau made yards every time he touched the ball and Sean O'Brien was fantastic.

The backs brought the magic too - Sexton ran the show, North proved himself to be one of the best wingers currently playing world rugby and Halfpenny nailed on his 'Player of the Series' award.

A fantastic all-round performance and, today, i am truly proud to be British.

but mostly proud to be Welsh. ;-)

I had a slight heart attack when Farrell came on...can't be the only one? (That said he's no where near as bad as he's made out)
