Aha, drinking lady has taken my 'baggage' as it were (still coming to terms with bereavement), with me being 'too high maintenance'.

Haha, that's the first time ever I've been labelled that, and it's hilariously untrue.

Either way, it's settled things both sides and me + some friends ended up at her house yesterday for some food + drinks and it all went nicely. So that's paved a platonic way forward, which is good.

Which path of destruction next to take next eh

Chucking some beef and a jar of curry sauce in a slow cooker counts as high maintenance thesedays? :-)

It's probably the lack of a balder side sword in her life but is afraid you'll roll off a ledge if she mentions it.

:D apparently so! Maybe it's because I insist on fresh coriander or something. Tch, fuck knows.

What is the current trendy dating app? I am finding tinder very unproductive lately, last year I was getting a date every week or two.  Now I really struggle to find one a month.  Maybe just reached saturation.

Are any other apps worth trying?
Travel to another city and swipe away, or deactivate your account, then reactivate it with new and better photos.

All of the 'no' swipers will see you again, and vice versa.

London has been my best city for Tinder, so far.

Hmm... response is far too rational for this thread.

All silliness aside, glad to hear you had a fun date. Did you agree to do it again soon or is her attending your next meetup the second date?
I haven't arranged anything before the meetup on friday, it's sort of a combined birthday thing as both the organiser and me have our birthdays this weekend.

Is this a second date or have I made a mistake?

And perhaps more importantly if I have got a second date what the heck do I do now? I'm not so much out of practice as fossilised.

Enjoy Friday, ask her out again. Suck each other's face and then come back here in 6 months to complain about this relationship stuff not being all it's cracked up to be.

    Easy!

Good luck with that. Its tough trying to find & connect with someone for you.

I hope it goes well but fast forward years ahead.

You are alone in a room. Be sure that if they have any big possible paternal news to tell you, they don't wait a half life. If they play you false for gain, be warned too. Guys have to live too.

And remember, when a bird is on the wing only then can you know the true meaning of the thing that was that before the thing was happening. And then, we all, began, to. Scone.

    Good luck and godspeed everyone.

Yeah these designs are as twisted as anything from Rick and Morty. Which is a good thing I might add.
