I remember it well. I was sat on my own chair, which at the time was clear of shit.

I was on sabbatical at the time but it's mentioned in every thread so it's easy to catch up. Easier, at least, than it was to clean up, presumably.

Wasn't AC2 his baby? I'm sure he's the guy who (I read) sunk so much into making AC2 something special, and mostly succeeded. I know it's a bit of a clumsy fucker to play, but so much about it was brilliant.

ed. According to his wiki page, he also did Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which was pretty good too.

They broke comments for me in one of the recent redesigns, but I assume at least half of those are telling our Jeff to get a haircut.

    Death to woodchip!

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Just a battle, not the war. The front room is clear! Now for the dreary sugarsoaping and sanding and filling prior to painting.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Hanging wallpaper is (mostly) not that bad. Not as easy as painting though.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

I don't like wallpaper. I always want to pick it off where the edges are. I think it's a scab thing.

Hanging wallpaper, around a fireplace, in a old Victorian terrace, with a pattern on it.

    /fetal position

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

Could be worse. I'm still removing the artex from the walls in my Victorian terrace... once that's done I get to remove the hideous, ancient wallpaper hiding underneath the artex! It's been painted over as well :-(

Even with a steamer it seems most reluctant to come off.

The thought had crossed my mind!

So far the plaster underneath seems to be in pretty good condition... am sure there'll be a nasty surprise awaiting me at some point though ;-)

We've definitely got some load-bearing woodchip upstairs :( But that is a battle for another day.

Why is there a 6 page spread, a 12 page pull out and more in The Sun about Fergie? It's like it matters or something.

Teaches me for picking up the Sun in the break room at work I suppose.

Windows can be worse than fireplaces. Anything where you have to paper onto a horizontal surface is difficult.

I logged into the Empire Forums for the first time since 2005 yesterday...feels so strange to be on a forum again that I spent the best part of three years posting on every single day, and for it so feel so alien. Lots of posters I don't remember (obviously that would happen after eight years away), not sure if I like it...

Also, feels like I'm cheating on the EG forums now.

I might not go back ;)

I'm off to Grinch in Manchester for some lunch. Quite fancy a burger of some sort.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.
