    Patch has gone live, Europe West 2 seems pretty stable so far.

    I can't see origin friends in game :(

    edit: Was on the wrong server, on Europe East 1, need to be in Europe West 2, but it's full :(

    Yeah you are showing in Origin friends list but not in SimCity, not even offline :confused:

    Same for me (ukaskew37), seeing you as a friend but not in Sim City.

    Reading the FAQs, you can only access a busy server if you already belong to a region within it. So it could be a long time before those of us not already accessing that server can get on it (Oceanic aside, every server numbered 1 or 2 is always greyed out for me, regardless of time of day)

    So I guess there is a region capacity per server, once you've staked your claim you have priority to get on it.

    That's a belter of a design flaw if correct, maybe things will ease off next week. Presumably we only need to get onto that server once, then we're 'part of the club'!

    Is there a way to just plant some trees/forest other than putting parks down?

    @teamHAM I had to abandon my city I hope it hasn't effect the region too much. It was completely broken by a bug. I'm starting a new one tonight.

    I'm going to try to get on Euro west 2 to claim a city now.

    Nope. It's full. Really bad game design that stops you from playing with people you want to play with - I thought that was the whole point??

    Parks -> nature -> more -> plant forest

    finally got it all up and up and running..no joy on eurowest 2 though as of yet..

    will get a feel for it and keep checking.

    first impressions are good though :D

    I really like it, but seems a lot easier than previous ones. Before I've been up shyte creek without a paddle pretty early on, running out of money and the public's patience whereas this one everything has been ticking over perfectly. Like it though. I think there needs to be a way of building up a metropolis in the region though (not sure there isn't) - I.e. one city hall covering various cities, otherwise I'm not sure the longevity is going to be there really. Especially if you want to play it on your own, and even with others (if not more so) there will quickly come a point when you have maxed out the space. Then what do you do?

    4 hrs on and off tonight and the space is 80% full. Really liking the game in itself, just not sure they've really gone the best direction with it personally.

    there is but I can't remember how. I sawa guy with the same problem that you have and he did work it out.

    Go to parks, go to nature and there's a scroll right button. Press that and you'll see add and remove forest options.

    Claimed mine. Renamed it "Wind swept fields" and as of 2 am was very close to exhausting my coal BUT I do host some wicked concerts that always sell out!!! Got 2 wonders as well.

    Should start discussing the strategy to get the region's space shuttle soon...? I need $1m!

    Euro West 2 is permanently full. Could we start another EG region somewhere?

    I've played for 15hrs so far and only built 2 cities - both had no more than 30k pop.

    Euro west 2 is always full. You can't get on. I tried at 1.30am last night - FULL. 8am this morning - FULL.
