So, anyone tried this yet? I already have the PS3 version so would be very interested to hear if anyone have tried both versions and if the Vita version is just as good. If it has the same visuals AND the 60fps of the PS3 version, then I would be very tempted to buy it again. Openworld games for a handheld is a match made in heaven.

Only seen two reviews so far but both very positive:

I have no idea how this game plays and don't want to read the reviews but is it something like the Oddworld games on the PlayStation? Those were good fun.

It's fps, but set in the same time and place I think.

I bought it on a whim!

In summary, it's an alien western odd-ball tactical shooter, where you play a bounty hunter.

You can flip between 1st and 3rd person as you wish.

Your ammo consists of live creatures which have different properties and are useful in different situations.

So far, great humour and fairly loose in terms of play style. Tactical, or all guns blazing, you choose.

Gets the award for an insta-trophy too!

That one on psnation is REALLY convincing. Hoping for a Digital Foundry article as I salivate when reading comparisons but probably won't be able to wait for that. Having Stranger's Wrath with me when I travel to the parents for Christmas will be perfect. I'll download it today.

    Here's another really positive review:

    7.49 for PS+ members, currently.

Right I've played the opening bit up to explosion stopping the wagon train and the graphics are good, the frame rate is solid, the touch screen stuff is well done and it so far it's a lot of fun to play.

Played about 30 mins and it seems really great. Have had two crashes while playing where the Vita needs to be rebooted. VERY annoying. Never experienced this with any other game before but a google search showed that many others have had the same error with other games.

Apparently it's a GPU related error. After the second crash I found that there was a new Vita System update that I hadn't downloaded yet. It's installed now. Going to bed now and will try the game again tomorrow. Good thing the game auto saves often.

And again, like dsmx says it looks gorgeous and plays very fluidly.

I want to get it but I'm annoyed I have to pay for it when i already got the PS3 version free. It's been sitting on my hard drive for months, hadn't started it because I heard the vita version was coming.

You're annoyed because you have to pay once for two games? (well, two versions)

I suppose thats a different way to look at it... I just feel I should qualify for both versions. I did 'pay' for the first copy via my PS+ sub.

Started this last night and it seems a rock solid conversion, really well suited to the Vita.

Seems identical to the PS3 version for the small bit I have played, thoroughly recommended and nice to have something different again on the Vita.

@Gregolution I see what you mean but it still seems a good deal to me :)

Are there any games where you get both the PS3 and Vita versions for free on PS+?

Anyway, sorely tempted by this even though I now have Gravity Rush, Everybody's Golf, F1 2011, SS Delta, Mutant Blobs Attack and shortly Mortal Kombat either unstarted or barely started...

Any non Plus members that have the PS3 version, The Blog confirms there will be a 25% discount after the Plus discount finishes so maybe worth holding off.

Great game, but i really hate the back sensor. It goes into Binocular mode at the worse possible time, and hard to get out off. Graffically very impressive though, and good fun.

Haven't had much time to play but I'm cautiously optimistic that the update fixed the crashes. I played a further 30 mins with no crashes. It really is a cracking game. A steal at the 10 PS Plus price.

Played some more last night and apart from the rear touchscreen, this is absolutely superb and highly recommended to everyone.

Love the whole Oddworld universe and it looks beautiful on the Vita's screen. Full credit to Just Add Water for taking their time and delivering a great conversion.

How long do discounts stay on PS+ generally? I want this but I have to wait till I get back to work next week.

@Kay I have the PS3 version but not got around to playing it, but really wanted it on the Vita. The only problem is I don't have enough space on my 8Gb memory card even after trying to take off a load of things I won't be playing anytime soon. :(

Played the original on Xbox and had to get this as that was one of my favourite games of last generation. This is a cracking conversion although I can sympathise with the rear touch annoyances. To be fair I find that a pain in the ass in many Vita games. I'd love to see a system update where you can specify a dead zone on the edge of the rear touch area.
