    It must have been a sad Christmas for you Deck when uncle George told you that you'd grown too old for him and your little brother was his new favourite.

    I like Christmas pudding, but Christmas cake can do one. Not that we're having either this year, tarte au citron apparently. :-/

    What's the difference between Christmas Pudding and Cake?
    Pudding's cooked in a pudding bowl and cake is cooked in a cake tin.

    It's becoming quite clear that some people in this thread just don't like food!

    Just give me everything on plate: turkey, pigs in blankets, parsnips, brocolli, sprouts, roast tatties, leeks, cauliflower, carrots, peas, stuffing, big dollop of mustard and drenched in gravy and down the cakehole.

    A real man here.

    @Deckard1

    Its LA Tarte, not Le. Tarte is Feminine, and hence is La, and *most* froggy words that end in an E are feminine. Ive turned into a French grammar nazi since living out here.

    Anyway, Tarte au Citron is rank. Give me a Chrimbo pudding, oodles of custard and cream any fucking day. Sadly, theyre as rare as a decent cut of topside beef is... and a good cut of bacon... and a nice Lincolnshire sausage. :(

    I'm a grown up peasant, so that's all right.

    I love the pork and apple and onions stuffing my family makes, and I just don't understand why people like dry, horrible, sage and onion stuffing. Maybe the poor fools just don't know any better.

    You're supposed to add water and cook it.

    I know. From M&S no less! It's to please my mother-in-law who likes this sort of thing. I'll pass and wait for the cheese board. Not the port though, still bearing scars of 2 bottles of the stuff from 3 christmasses ago
