iphone not recognised

    mrs hcnip's iphone has suddenly started not being recognised by either our home pc or my laptop
    doesn;t appear in itunes, my computer etc. but is charging

    any suggestions? can't find anything that helps on their support forum or in google

    I would think most likely the cable/30 pin connecter is fucked?

    Reinsert the cable. I get that from time to time with my iPod touch.

    thanks, tried that a few times - also uninstalled and reinstalled itunes

    probably the cable then...ho hum....

    Apple have probably just decided that those cables are no longer correct. That's what seemed to happen to mine, a little message popped up on the screen saying "cable not supported go fuck yourself then spend money on new one - Cunt"

    Possibly - data and power are on different wires. Do you have another 30 pin cable?

    managed to find another lead and it seems to be ok now

    better bin the other lead before i get them muddled up......
