    Unicron?

I'm past caring whether this will be much cop. It'll likely be a shitfest but a shitfest I'll pay good money to go see at the cinema and watch once and never watch again and just complain about what it does wrong both cinematically and to the Transformers franchise.

Apparently so. More lingering shots of the American ideal of 'sexy women.' More explosions. Another attempt and one upping his previous entries.

I liked the first Transformers film.

... seen it at least four or five times and I'd still quite happily watch it again.

The sequel however, was so turdtastic that it put me off going to see the third one that had something to do with the moon if the trailers is anything to go by.

This one, especially after Pacific Rim, is going to have to grab me by the balls. Marry Mark isn't the most rewarding actor to be attached to this either - it is either going to be shit, or the shit.

It really doesn't matter if the Ghost of MJ, Elvis, and Jill Dando were all leading roles in any future Transformers film.

If Bay is involved, it'll turn to ADHD action directing bullshit with cheesy loveshite comedy penned in to please his wife and kids.

    I fucking hate Bay.

Can't he piss off and make an Armageddon sequel or some shit.

    Here's the trailer.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Looks about right for a Transformers film. Wonder if it's going to have all the militaristic overtones like the last one.

Everyone always says that after a new Transformers trailer. I remember a lot of people being super hyped for Dark of the Moon based on the trailer, but it still turned out shit.

Weird thing with Transformers is it's hard to even watch them for the special effects since you never tell what's going on anyway and it just ends up giving you a headache.

Action scenes going on for like half an hour don't really help either.

More of the exactly the same. Sigh. You'd think after 2 horrible sequels that someone would catch on that the films are absolute wank for a reason?

I do have a bit of a soft spot for Marky Mark though.

I thought and still think the first one got it almost perfect. Any deficiencies I can give a pass as in the end it was made for oodles of money to make oodles of money and as such wasn't being tailored made for my desires.

The next two are dire though. I'm not opposed to the suggestion that Bay was just trolling us all by that point; making the most disjointed nonsense and still taking in the billions. Why the fuck not? Those films are structurally so bad it's not feasible that the film makers weren't aware of it.

Yet here we are bitching about how bad they are which means they won.

Watching them is like having someone punch you in the ears and eyeballs for three hours.

Judging from the tone of the trailer, Bay got a lot out of shooting his smaller indie-style project last year.

Revenge of the fallen did over $800m worldwide and Dark of the moon did over 1.1 billion! So the studios/producers/director have no reason not to pump out the same old shit!

I went to the cinema for Revenge of the fallen, but waited for bargain bucket DVD for the last one knowing it would be total bollocks.

The way starscream died was a total disgrace to the character... That probably annoyed me more than anything!

He went out like a bitch in the animated Transformers movie, so I'm not sure what you mean by that :)

    This.

No matter how (inevitably) shit it turns out, it has Dinobots.

Marky Mark is a hell of a lot better than She-ra Leteste as well.

Optimus riding Grimlock through the great Wall of China. Most excellent.
