    Hello.

    I am at Birmingham City University (UK) and I am doing Business & Management. We have a project coming up. It is basically creating an idea.

    My idea is to a Memory Stick which allows games to be loaded and can then be used on a console. I need help with my research.

    I was hoping that you could answer these few questions.

    1= Which country do you live in?
    2= Which console(s) do you own?
    3= Would you be interested in an USB Stick where games can be downloaded into?
    4= How much would you pay for it?

    Thank you.

    1=Peru
    2=Llamabox 360
    3=Is the USB stick shaped like a llama?
    4=Eight pesos and a llama

    A map is like comparing velocity and speed.

    Where are these games getting loaded from? Why not download via the internet connection that every non-poor household has?

    All of them
    No, my consoles are connected to the internet, there is no reason to go out and get a game on a memory stick.
    I would only do this if the games are really cheap. So -25% of what the games costs.

    Doesn't this already exist? I know they do it with movies (buy at a kiosk, plug in laptop/phone/USB stick), and I'm sure they've done it with games at Gamestop before with PSP/Vita games onto memory sticks. Might be worth investigating if they did, and if they still do it. If the answers are "yes" and "no" respectively, you can assume it's a business that'll fail.

    So, the USB stick would act as a form of portable storage device that stores games and you could then load these games on a console ?

    It's a revolutionary idea and could well transform the 1976 games market.

    This idea won't work for a moment because USB is too easy a format to just run off as many dodgy copies as you like and game cartridges died because they're too expensive to reproduce. Not to mention the sort of size required for a modern game would be a stick that costs around 30.

    Are you sure this is a university project? I've seen children come up with better ideas.

    1= Which country do you live in?

    Australia

    2= Which console(s) do you own?

    All of them

    3= Would you be interested in an USB Stick where games can be downloaded into?

    No. I would rather download games from the Internet instead. There appears to be no point behind your idea. Even if there is why haven't you bothered explaining it? Also the grammar in this sentence offends me.

    4= How much would you pay for it?

    $0. or 0GBP depending on where I was buying it.

    I lurk. If I've spoken to you, I'm either impassioned, or drunk.

    anyway...

    1= Which country do you live in? UK
    2= Which console(s) do you own? x360
    3= Would you be interested in an USB Stick where games can be downloaded into? No
    4= How much would you pay for it? N/a

    has this basically got to be handed in tomorrow or something? seems very unplanned!

    If this isn't a troll it's a shocking example of just who they'll let into a university these days.

    1. UK
    2. Everything but an Xbox
    3. Surely it would be more of a hassle to use a USB stick compared to just downloading games? You can already backup save files to USB, cloud storage, etc, which seems enough. So nope.
    4. N/A

    Yes I want to know why it's not a real university. I've not been there but I'm interested in the reasons for the prejudice.

    Must be an open university, I used to watch them early in the morn. Think I saw this project when USBs were taking off

    @skuzzbag The same reasons as people have about Hull having a University.

    It's (presumably) an institute/polytechnic that became a university when it transpired that people for some reason like spending thousands of pounds to get degrees that are basically useless.

    It was founded in 1900 and used to be a medical college before then I think.

    I doubt your tutor will believe you've put much thought into the project if you kick off about video games to him/her to be honest.

    Particularly if you list the bunch of reprobates you will find here as your "focus group".
