Sounds like the preview copy is more stable than the finished release. Wonder if it's the Steamworks integration that's messed it up.

The achievements aren't working correctly, I've not killed anyone with a brick, let alone bounced one off a wall to do it.

It's also not popping up achievements when you ding them nor are the kill counts increasing.

    This space left intentionally blank.

You can't even rebind the bloody keys, unless I'm missing a trick? That's just outright lazy.
  • Deleted user 23 October 2012 22:25:14
    They're fixing that tomorrow, apparently.

All in all it's an utter shambles of a launch.

Ah, cheers. That's something at least, though why the hell they'd choose to leave something as basic as that out of the launch is beyond me.

The entire soundtrack is buried away in the Hotline Miami files. Steam > Apps > Common > HM > Boom!

    .

Seems that for most of you it's a clusterfuck of biblical proportions. Don't seem to have any real problems here, but after a 14 hour day, an hour or two on a tactical murder simulator was always going to be relaxing.

    Lots of fun.

Anyone know how to get past chapter four, with a guy strapped to a chair with a bomb, and both doors in are wired to blow up?

Well this is really rather good. Music is amazing too. Shame Steam integration isn't working properly yet.

In terms of sheer fun, regardless of blahblahblah length etc etc, it's definitely GOTY material.

    BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Fucking loving it. Coming away from XCOM and Dishonoured, it's a total change and all the more refreshing for it.

    Works, thanks.

This game is insanely addictive, I need to finish it as soon as possible so I can get back to studying.

I still don't enjoy playing it, but it's still compelling. It's a genuine dilemma for me. :(

    Soundtrack is incredible.

Worth checking out the homepage of that M.O.O.N guy who did some of the best tunes, he's got a pay what you want thing setup for his EPs.

Excellent game. I've completely missioned it and have nearly got all the masks, just 2 to go.

You need to get used to using melee, you can also chees a lot of sections by abusing doorways. Both the knockdown and the ambushing. Enemies that hear gunshots will run to the source of the sound but will either revert to their old patrol or on some occasions start patrolling the area of the gunshot. Use this to divide and conquer.

Bladed weapons are awesome but be aware that only the knife can insta-kill when thrown otherwise they just knockdown. Don't be afraid to run into a room swinging like mad, you'll be surprised. The Don Juan mask insta-kills enemies caught by a swinging door, it's the best mask for a good portion of the game.

There's 2 endings, you need to find all the scrabble tiles and complete the 'Puzzle' option in the pause menu to unlock it. The Rasmus mask will help you find them all.

Most masks are awarded for beating the par score for the level, but there are a few that can be found in some of the levels. Rasmus mask will make them pulsate like a pickup.

(Actually, the Masks pulsate without Rasmus, it just exaggerates the effect)

I love busting a door open, shooting, and then waiting by the door with a melee weapon to kill everyone. Finished the chapters as well but I can see myself going through it with a bunch of different masks. I think I have 2 or 3 left to get.

But definitely, Don Juan mask is awesome.
