    Anyone else looking forward to this game?

    I loved the old PC games - my better half picked up a cheap copy of RCT3 a couple of months ago and we've both been playing it loads.

    Shame the release date has slipped, but I'm hoping that it's because the initial previews were less than favourable so Atari are tweaking the game a bit.

    Could be good but I am not optimistic. Screen too small, resolution too low.

    I am quite looking forward to this, though I do keep forgetting about its existence. Being able to ride your coasters in 3D would be a nice touch, but I'm mostly interested in managing my own little pocket theme park :)

    @StixxUK I'm keeping an open mind over it now.

    I'm just hoping it's been built from the ground up with portability in mind. Theme Park DS bombed as it was a crap port.

    @adinus How did you get RCT3 to work?

    I bought it about 6 months ago and it kept trying to connect to the Internet. Everytime it tried it said the website had been deleted and the game could not be authenticated.

    So I never got it to work.

    Am hoping this is good. The DS port of Theme Park didn't cut it, was very lazy.

    Sim City Creator on the DS was good fun. It shows that these kinds of games can work on small consoles, even if they're not the prefered way to play. I've been interesting in this game for some time, but it's release seems to be a mystery at the minute. The game was apparently completed back in March.

    Picked this up earlier on the off chance it was decent, despite the unfavourable previews. They were right. It's very basic, looks pretty bad, and doesn't have any of the magic of the previous games. No tinkering of rides available, you can't change prices and so on. Building rollercoasters and laying paths is an exercise in frustration too. If you're desperate for your own portable Alton Towers, the DS port of Theme Park, for all its faults, is much more fun than this. Taking it back tomorrow.

    It explains why we saw and heard nothing for so long. I'm pretty disappointed really. Hope the genre has more chances on the 3DS.

    I really enjoyed playing one of the PC ones when I was younger, though I may or may not have killed a few dozens of people on a ride.

    I'm not sure why they didn't just port the original game onto the 3DS.
