Another big name then. Rumours are as well that radioshack are on the brink of bankruptcy as well. probably the nails in the coffin.

As i understand the chemical is entirely man made as well so its not going to be found in food sources etc. not looking good :(

Up and running now anyway. Nice to see it from the very start occasionally. Meandering out of a town and then multiple early attacks. Could be a good day today.

If my bikes weren't in amongst a pile of unpacked boxes and furniture I'd totally be wearing the rapha circle of death jersey I bought in a drunken stupor to mark the day.

He doesn't have all that much choice though does he? Once you get caught, you exit. Even if under UCI regulation you could still start the next day. Can imagine him bowling up to the start line?

Quick look at the tickler. Looks BMC is going to try something.
One of the Lotto-Belisols in an interview at the start said they're going to try something on the Peyresourde.

/jealous of everyone at home watching.

That's true to an extent, but that doesn't stop me having serious doubts about it all. I don't really recall Contador really worrying about that and still rocking up at the start anyway.

At least Schleck's now asked for the B sample to be analysed. However, he's also apparently mentioned he might have been 'poisoned'.

    Sure Franck.

Just read that he will file a complaint for being poisoned if the B sample proves positive. That's a novel approach.

Even Bruyneel isn't crazy enough to poison one of his higher earning riders so that he can terminate the contract (and possibly fine the rider too) just because of financial difficulties, right?

I really hope he does, since I like him immensely. He's always great for an interview and seems like a down to earth character.

I just hope his legs hold out tomorrow to let him get it, especially after the way he faded badly the day after his awesome stage win in the Alps. On the plus side, *everyone* should have very tired legs tomorrow!

Voeckler is quite unpopular amongst his peers apparently as he's a bit difficult and is overexaggeration facial tics get on people's tits.
Always good at livening things up though, so a good watch for the spectators I think. I like him.

I love some of the expressions used by the journalists/commentators in cycling. At least in Flemish.

When Nibali attacked the tickler read: "Nibali throws the truncheon in the chicken coop"
An often used epxression for shaking things up, i.e. attacking.
Others often used are throwing a bomb, firing off a shell, giving it a yank, shaking the tree...

How much would one of those tour bikes cost? Can they even be bought, or are they custom jobs?

Off the shelf starts at 1000 - 1500.
Take it seriously and expect 3000

The top riders will be custom jobs for their body size/shape
